Chaeryeong's POVI rubbed my eyes and opened them slowly, I looked around and I was on the bed in me and Yeji's room. Oh yeah, I cried and she came home quickly to comfort me but, where is she? I saw the clock on the wall and it was past midnight, nearing 3 in the morning. How come was I awake at this time? What concerned me was it was still raining outside and I wasn't really happy about it. I was seeking for Yeji, I need her right now, I want her beside me and keep me safe but she wasn't here in the room. It worried me, where could she have gone?
I tried my best to get down from the bed even though it was still raining badly, I went out of our shared room and went to find for her. I checked her own bedroom and she wasn't there, even the office and mini library was empty, no sign of her anywhere at the second floor of the house. I hurriedly went down just to make sure if she was there
"Yeji?" I called for her
"Honey?" I called once again and there was no answer. It made me so worried but then I heard the thunder roar which made me flinch. I started tearing up as I continued to search for her
"Yeji..." I muttered and then I saw someone in the kitchen
"Yeji?" I called and she turned, I felt so relieved to see her. I ran towards her and hugged her. I was so scared, ever since she started being with me, sleeping with me, it was hard for me to be alone.
"Why are you awake darling?" she asked me and caressed my hair
"W-where were you?" I asked as my voice trembled. I was crying softly as my face was hidden in the crook of her neck.
"I just went down to drink water darling and my brother called me to inform me about something" she said but I continued to cry in her arms
"Why did you left me? I.... I thought you said you won't leave me" I sobbed and I heard her let out worried sigh. She then cupped my cheeks to make me look at her
"I would never leave you darling, you know that. And if ever I would go somewhere, I would always go back to you darling, everytime" she said to reassure me and then kissed the bridge of my nose. She wiped off the tears on my cheeks and looked at me lovingly. I hugged her once again and then hid my face on the crook of her neck again
"Let's get you back to bed darling, you need to rest" she said but I refused to let go of the hug. She then lifted me up and let me wrap my legs around her waist. She didn't say anything but just carried me back up to our shared room. When we got inside, she closed the door using her foot and then went to the bed. She leaned against the head board as I was now straddling her, still hugging her of course. It was all quiet after, all I could hear were the soft sound of the rain, I guess it was slowly stopping already. She kept kissing the top of my head repeatedly and caress my hair and back.
She covered us with the duvet and then raised my chin so that I was looking at her.
"Go to sleep now darling, I'll wake you up later okay?" she said and I nodded as response. She pecked my lips and smiled softly at me
"Thank you honey, I love you" I said to her softly
"I love you too my darling, so much" she said and then I rested my head against her chest and start to fall back to sleep.
A few hours later, I woke up to Yeji caressing my hair gently. I look up at her and she smiled at me.
"Good morning darling" she said softly to me and it made my heart flutter, her gentle voice sounds so beautiful, it helps me to calm down and relax.
"Good morning honey" I said to her and pecked her lips. The both of us chuckled then I sat up properly.
"Do you have work today?" she asked and I shook my head.
