The museum basement was dark and cool. Indy flipped through a book by the dim light of a candle. Bombs rained through Berlin above him. The people had retreated to the cellars and shelters hoping to survive. "There," he whispered.

Sidenstrasse Tapestry

Discovered by archaeologist Dr. Indiana Jones in 1933 near Kashgar China (see sketch below for more precise information)

Description of Artifact: According to sources in ancient Chinese legend there was an alchemist who invented a powerful weapon. Dr. Jones found the tomb intact and before it collapsed... or so he claims... Dr. Jones recovered the silken scroll (see sketch below). (See drawer 253 cabinet five for the artifact)

The rest was not important. Indy ripped out the page in the book, and shone the lantern around.

"Drawer 230, 240, 257,...253!" Indy yanked at it. "C'mon!"

WHAM! Indy kicked at it. Nothing. Bending down he stuck his pocketknife into the lock.

The bombs exploded above him. Whistling, thumping, exploding, and waiting in silence for some unsuspecting person to find them. Indy jumped.

Was that it?

Click.

He wiggled the knife in farther.

Click.

Indy yanked open the drawer.

Footsteps on the stairs!

He rummaged through the drawer. "Be here! C'mon! I can't be too late!"

Bombs fell above him. His sweaty palms found something silky. "Yes!" He yanked it out and stuffed it into his pocket.

Footsteps.

The Nazis!

"OPEN THE DOOR!" Dyistock yelled.

Indy yanked at his pocket knife, stuck in the lock.

The door quivered.

"OPEN IT JONES! WE KNOW YOU'RE IN THERE!"

Indy blew out the candle.

The door fell down with a thud.

"Where is he!? Fan out! Look all around!" Dyistock yelled.

Indy felt cramped. Suddenly a flashlight shone in his face.

"Hi Dyistock!" Indy grinned.

POW!

Dyistock went down.

Indy grabbed the captain's machine gun and fired, shooting his way out of the vault.

Bullets were all around him. Indy dropped the gun as one ripped at his shoulder. A bomb fell outside. Indy dashed up the stairs. Kicking open the door, he raced across the wide open museum room.

Another troop fired at him, missing because of the bombs.

Indy was cornered, between two Egyptian mummies.

A bomb exploded.

Indy whirled, ducking. Shrapnel ripped into his face. He howled as splinters found their way to his wounded arm. Then he ran.
