Dawn would be rising in two hours. Emily slipped into a pair of brown pants, her leather jacket, and her shoes. Fluffing up the covers to make a human shape, she grabbed her fedora and slipped out the door.
Disappearing in the shadows Emily vanished in the cold pre-dawn city of Berlin.
The bridge had a few soldiers pacing about on the Communist side. Emily slipped into the shadows at the base, as a blood red sun rose over the streets of Berlin, reflecting off the river, turning it to blood.

Emily started swimming across the river and under the Berlin Wall. There was an ancient scroll to find, and a ransom for her sister. Dawson hadn't allowed them much time.
