Mac turned around from the conversation in the phone booth. Indy was gone. Laurel was crying. Marion had Tyler in a restrictive grip so the boy wouldn't run away back to the Soviets. Annie was loading firearms.
The manhole cover moved and two grime covered figures crawled out.
Mac rushed toward his wife and son. "You made it!" he whispered, gripping Emiliya.
Jake followed soon after. "Thanks, Mac... er... uh... Dad? Why didn't you tell me sooner?"
Mac pulled Jake into an embrace. "This was always the plan, son. Families need to be together."
Marion interrupted the reunion with the clacking sound of a loaded shotgun ready to fire. "Now that you know how a reunion feels, I want my daughter home. We're going back in, Mac. Clear the tunnel."
