Maggie's POV

I tried my damn hardest to salvage that date. (y/n) hated Bone Cage- I kinda expected it but it still stung none the less- and a member of Jean Pierre's group saw her. He shoved his weird little head into the car and stared in her soul. I could feel her fear just sitting next to her as she answered every question he asked her. She spilled that she worked with Addy and that she used to work in Singar Bay. I tried to keep myself calm. I knew if I freaked out then she would freak out.

So, I kept my cool until we arrived back home. The apartment was so quiet, Walter must've gone to sleep. (y/n) hovered around me, unsure of what to do. "Go to sleep." I instructed as softly as I could, she just hummed a response and disappeared into the bedroom.

I stood in the hallway, my head in my hands and I conjured up different plans. I spent ten minutes by myself before I realised all my plans were damn illogical. I needed Walter.

I kicked my boots off before walking into his bedroom, he was asleep. I stood over his unconscious body, I was able to see the drool spilling out of his mouth thanks to the light from the hallway. I groaned before I grabbed his shoulder and began to shake him. He sprung awake, quickly sitting up.

"Fucking hell Mags!" He shouted, I shushed him as I sat down on the edge of the bed. I didn't even notice the person sleeping next to him until Walter pointed towards them. "Is it important?" He muttered, rubbing his eye with his fist.

"Yeah, its bloody important!" I defensively said, he cringed at my volume before he kicked his legs out the bed. I knew what was coming and so I jumped up and hastily walked into the living room, sitting myself down on the couch.

Walter appeared a few minutes later in just a pair of boxers, he sat down beside me, squinting because of the light above us, "What's going on?" He asked.

"One of Jean Pierre's guys saw (y/n)." I said, I tried to keep my voice steady, but I couldn't. He sensed my panic, and it woke him up, he leaned forward.

"Saw saw?"

"He knocked on the car window, my side, saying some fucking moron stole from em'! When we did the clean out with those other people, someone robbed em'. They asked if it was me, I said no... He asked (y/n), I tried to stick up for her, pissed the bastard off so he started asking her more questions... He thought she worked at Cloud 9, she said she worked at Playground in Singar Bay which... seems fucking unbelievable now."

"Yeah... Singar Bay is 12 hours away from here, 14 from the arena..." He muttered.

I nodded before saying, "I need to move her."

"Maggie, don't." He warned, "You move her, they'll know somethin's fishy."

"If she stays here, we run the risk of them snatching her-"

"They have no proof, only rumours-"

"You bloody know murders have happened because of less." I snapped, he sighed.

"Where would you take her?" He asked, I thought for a second.

"Take her West, away from Singar Bay... don't know where... just as far as we could go."

He balled his hands into fists before asking, "How long would you stay?"

"Dunno... until they find out who took the stuff."

"Maggie this is a horrible idea." His voice was slightly condescending, like he was speaking to a child, "They'll know somethings wrong... their new boss might not want vengeance for Pierre, he was an absolute bastard, so you moving (y/n) away would look weird." Everything he was saying was logical, every single word. However, I was too scared to see anything other than (y/n) getting shot. They tried it once before, they're perfectly capable of trying again... and I might not be around to keep her safe.
