"Your performance is outstanding as always."
Ansel's eyes glazed over at Vior's stature, who was kneeling on the ground and using the scythe as a way to support her body weight. The sparring between the two Reveries has turned into a stalemate once more; it was obvious that he was going easy on her, but she's still capable of adjusting to his power level.
"It was a frightening level of adjustment," Ansel admitted. "The pitiful part is you have gotten weaker in hand-to-hand combat. It must have been due to the fact you have been depending on the chains too much."
A month has passed ever since the day she wielded the ignition weapon once more. It has also been an entire month since Shibisu and the others departed or ascended to the higher floor, leaving them behind. Within the span of one month itself, a lot of things have passed, and Vior has never once wasted time on rest.
"Today marks the end of our sparring," Ansel hummed. "You have grown accustomed to the scythe. So, focus on your hand-to-hand combat afterwards."
Vior stood up from her previous position, wiping away the sweat that was rolling down her cheeks. "You're going easy on me." Her tone of voice conveyed how upset and dissatisfied she was.
Ansel tilts his head and merely smiles at the sight. Clearly, he knows that her sister would have noticed the lack of power he uses in this spar. However, he didn't want her to go overboard while she was still in a recovery state. "I'm glad you noticed. Be thankful that Zehir permitted you to have a light spar with me, or else you won't hear the end of his long reprimand."
Vior groaned in frustration, but she didn't know that her brother found it funny to watch her trouble. Obviously, whether it was Zehir's command or not, he wouldn't dare go full power on his dear sister. It is against his policy as a brother that should have been caring and loving to the youngest and the only girl within the main branch, aside from their mother.
