"At long last, a proper bed you can sleep on."
A sigh of contentment was elicited from the parted lips, which came from Vior. Ignoring the burden that was presently resting on her shoulder, she maintained her position on the bed. It was an uncommon instance when she was able to genuinely pursue tranquility amidst her own scourge of existence.
Whether it'll be the disastrous carnage that will soon await her, she doesn't heed any of it any longer. What she truly wanted was a rest from all of the havoc that has transpired regardless of what happened; in this case, it would be the time she almost died for the second time now. It truly is a miracle that she can truly appreciate the soft comfort of bed right now.
A hand reached to gently caress the top of her head — an intimate and affectionate gesture she couldn't predict who it came from. However, from the voice alone, she can tell who it was. "So the next station is just a few days away?" Khun's voice reverberated in the room, filling all senses. "We really don't get much time to rest."
The bed dipped right beside her, indicating Khun had taken a seat right at the edge. Typically, he would spew severe obscenities and complain ceaselessly about whatever troubled him. However, this is one of many instances in which he is surprisingly empathetic, which is precisely the kind of relief she needed.
"Kaiser... I hope that guy isn't a psycho like Hoaqin. Vior heard the exhalation of Khun that came from beside her; she could feel his hand remaining resting on the top of her hair. She could've told he must've offered some sort of comfort after everything that had been going on — the same subtle man she knew him to be.
"Haha..." Baam laughed at what he heard from Khun. Continue to hear the comment regarding how everything has been tough lately.
But Khun isn't far-fetched from what he said. Everything has been tough for them all lately, especially with the battle that awaits them numerous times, and they doubted this would be the last. It was safe to presume that all of this is a mere beginning, but it's not the end of everything.
