"...Khun...?"

Vior's eyes never averted from his figure. Out of everyone in this room, she expected the least for him to prevent her from accepting the deal. Rather, she felt confident that Elias or Baam would have been the ones to intervene, explain things to her in a way that made sense, or try to urge her to stay regardless of the offer that was being made to her.

After all, Khun and Vior never seem to be on the best terms. Because of this, it was very ironic for him to try to dissuade her from taking advantage of what some have referred to as "the devil's offer." She was gazing everywhere, but particularly just behind the man, where Baam's hand was dropped and a look of confusion passed across his face.

'He... He even ran faster than Baam.'

Vior doesn't exactly know how to act other than awkwardly smile at him, which turns out to be an unshaped form of a smile while she's sweating bullets. What is wrong with him? Has he lost his mind? He might have really violated her by doing something much more severe than this, such as smacking her in the back of the head while shouting at her and fighting with her like he always does.

"W... What...?" Her words came out in a soft whisper, and she hesitantly glanced up at Khun, who had stayed still in his position and had been securely gripping her wrist up until this point. Vior is unsure of exactly what is wrong with him, and she has no desire to find out what it is.

"...I..." Khun's voice dropped off as he continued speaking, and a thoughtful expression flashed across his face just before he appeared to be completely assured of the things he was about to say. "I've kept up with my end of the bargain, haven't I?"

Stupefied at his answer, she parted her lips and closed them, sealing them shut as her eyes were wide in astonishment. Is this the reason he was trying so hard to stop her? The fact that the explanation was not particularly convincing did not prevent her from finding the things he said humorous. Was that truly the reason?
