I was going to kill him.
I thought as I drove towards his house gripping the wheel tightly trying to calm myself down.
No wonder everyone's reaction to me and Bryce's break up was weirder than usual. It wasn't really a big deal if I broke up with someone before, but when I broke up with Bryce everyone's reaction was different. At first I guessed it was because he was the most popular guy in school.
Everything made sense now. When Ashley asked me who the lucky guy was, she was talking about who I cheated with on Bryce, and when my friends looked at me with foul and bizarre looks, they thought that I was a two timer.
Finally I reach his house. Hopping out of my car I walk towards the backdoor where the vine ladder is. I feel someone staring at me so I look over at the house beside Bryce's. Watering the plants was the creepy dude with glasses who tapped me earlier. He stared at me before looking away with his cheeks turning bright pink.
Once I reached the backdoor of the house I start to climb up the vine ladder which led towards Bryce's room. With an effort I pull myself up to his balcony before peeking into his room.
He's lifting weights while blasting on loud music. I carefully open his balcony door before walking over to him.
"I'm going to kill you."
Bryce screams- a very high-pitched one may I add- surprised by my presence that he drops his weights on the floor sadly not landing on his foot.
"Oh my god Katie! What are you doing here!" He yelled. "Why didn't you pass the front door like a normal person would do?"
"Because I'm going to kill you. Why did you tell people I cheated on you? Now everyone thinks I'm this huge slut, even my friends! You ruined my reputation you dick!" I yelled slapping his arm which left a red mark.
"Ow that hurt!" He said covering the mark I left on him.
"Answer my question!" I yelled slapping his arm again.
He backed away before holding up both his hands. "Let me explain."
I crossed my arms challenging him. I don't think any explanation will make me forgive him.
"If people found out that you broke up with me, my reputation would get ruined. No girl had ever broken up with me before and I didn't want you to be the first one to do it. So... I told people you cheated on me which made me break up with you." He said with a shrug as he got the water bottle sitting on his bedside table before taking a sip.
I stared at him as my arms shook out of anger. "So you decided to ruin my reputation instead of yours?" I ask.
He took another sip of his water before answering me. "Yeah." He said giving me a toothy grin. "Besides, the whole cheating story gave me pity points from girls."
"You're sick." I say as he gives me a wink. "I swear to god if you don't tell people that I didn't cheat on you, you are going to regret doing this."
He rolled his eyes. "I told you you'd regret breaking up with me." He says with a smirk.
"Just to remind you and your ego, you were the one who was going to say you loved me." I said.
He nods. "I know. I'm not denying it."
"Ugh!" I yell slapping my hand on my forehead. "I'm giving you two days to tell everyone the truth." I warn as I walk back towards his balcony. "You're just lucky you didn't tell people who I supposed cheated on you with." I say as I throw my leg over his balcony railings.
