It's been a week now since Ashley and I became friends.
Everything's been great. We hang out, talk, shop and basically do everything together. No longer enemies but instead more of besties.
There's only one problem though- Andy.
Ashley had already earned my trust but Andy keeps trying to break it.
I decided to ignore Andy and just go with how life good is to me without any complaints. No one can rain on my parade, not even Andy.
Which is why, today I decided that Andy, Ashley, Britney and I should all go together and go prom dress shopping. After all prom was already this month.
So here we were, the four of us all dress hunting.
I was slightly uncomfortable to be honest. Both Bryce and Adam came with us trying to look for tuxes.
Being forced by their dates aka Ashley and Britney, how could you resist?
Michael was here to.
That's when I realized I was the only one who had no date. I shifted uncomfortably hoping the girls wouldn't notice that I was the only single one here.
"So who's your date Katie?" Ashley asked getting me out of my trance.
Great. The number one question I've been trying to avoid.
I shrug as I go through the rack of dresses. "I don't know..."
"You're not going stag are you?" Ashely asks with a snort as she pulls out a dress.
"Katie Silvers going stag to prom?" Britney cuts in. "No way."
I frown. "I'm not going alone. That's for sure."
Ashley smirks. "You shouldn't."
I nod as I watch them walk away towards the changing room to fit in their chosen dresses. Leaving Andy and I still trying to look for our desired ones.
"Why is Britney here?" Andy asks walking over to me as I continue to look for a dress.
I shrug. "She cornered me during lunch and asked if I had plans after school so obviously I had to invite her."
"And Ashely?"
I roll my eyes knowing what's coming next.
"Katie!" She continues. "Didn't you just see what she did to you? She knows you don't have a guy in your life right now and she's using it against you by making you uncomfortable-"
"Oh my god Andy all she did was ask me a question." I laughed in annoyance, if that was even possible. "Why do you hate her so much? Just please tell me and I'll probably understand."
She opened her mouth to speak but nothing came out. "She... she keeps telling me that- that... Never mind." She says closing her mouth before looking away.
I stare at her in confusion before trying ignore it. Although there was still that tiny voice in my head telling me that there really is a reason why Andy hates her so much.
After 10 more minutes of looking, I finally found the perfect dress.
I was the only one who still hasn't decided. Britney, Ashely and Andy were all in the fitting rooms to try on their dresses, and so were all the boys who were probably already done after 5 minutes of being in the shop.
I held up this gorgeous shimmery gold glittery gown which had thin straps that perfectly crisscrossed at the back.
I pulled it out from the rack and it was just my size. Walking over to the full body mirror I place it on top of me trying to get a picture of what it would look like.
