Once Coach Doug announced that Adam got into the team my feet started taking me somewhere else.
I didn't realize it until I was halfway there that I was running towards Adam to congratulate him.
He looks over his shoulder probably hearing my loud footsteps and he grins before catching me into his arms.
"Congratulations!!" I yell pinching his cheeks playfully as he lifts me up.
"Thanks." He replies before looking at the crowd who was now all staring at us probably expecting something that I didn't expect they'd expect... until I realized they thought we were a couple.
"Oh." I murmur as Adam brings me down.
I look back at him and he's flushed as he looks at anywhere else but me.
I glance over at Andy who has her hands covering her mouth while she nods her head quickly I'm afraid it might fall off.
"I guess we have to give them what we want don't we?" I murmur forcing out a strain laugh as I try to get rid of the awkwardness.
"That wouldn't be that bad would it?" Adam asks as a smile tugs at the end of his lips.
I laugh before he bends down bringing his lips to mine. We stay like that before the crowd cheers and whistles.
I can feel Adam's smile pressed again my lips as he tries to hold in his laughter.
I pull away to find his cheeks burning red as he gives me a cheeky smile.
I send him a small smile in return before everyone starts running towards us to congratulate Adam, in the process pushing me away from him.
However, he still maintains eye contact with me despite the big crowd separating us two.
I feel someone grab my wrist and it's Andy who's grinning like a fool before pulling me away.
"That was hot." She says once we exist the football field.
I roll my eyes. "That didn't mean anything." I say. "It was all role play."
"Sure." She snorts. "I bet you wanted it."
"Did not!" I retort back as we walk towards the parking lot where both of our cars were parked.
Andy smirks. "Just don't fall too hard Katie." She says seriously before entering her car and driving away.

"I'm home!" I yell once I enter my house. I wait for a reply and surprisingly mom's home.
"Hi sweetie!" My mom yells from upstairs. "You better get dressed! We're having dinner with your dad."
I frown. "Why?"
"Why not?" She yells back.
I sigh taking off my boots before running up the stairs and into my room. "You know why." I murmur.
I don't put on much effort in my outfit for the dinner with dad. I know it's not going to last very long because either one of them will storm out.
I stare at myself in the full-length mirror of my room. I'm wearing a striped dress shirt with some ankle black boots. I tie my hair into a high ponytail so my hair won't stick to my makeup that I just retouched earlier from school.
I hear the door open as my parents greet each other downstairs.
"Katie!" My mom calls. "Your father is here!"
