Sakamaki Subaru X Reader ((Diabolik Lovers))

Not a request but more or less an experiment to see if you lovely reader's would like to start reading one-shots more from his point of view rather than just yours. Comment if you think this was a success or failure and thanks to everyone for reading these random little stories!

Walking around the Sakamaki's mansion, you looked for only one of the six vampires living there. He was the youngest and most seclusive of the brothers and often times was the one who came to your rescue when you were in danger.

The white haired vampire could never understand why you were nice and compassionate towards him considering he broke almost all of your personal belongings when you had first came to live in this mansion. Actually, he couldn't understand why you were nice to any of his brothers since they constantly treated you like you were a piece of garbage.

Shu saw you as an annoying lewd woman and Reiji's opinion of you was very similar to his older brother just with the addition of unmannered and rude. Laito saw you as a toy, Kanato saw you as someone who would be fun to break, and Ayato saw you as someone to mess with until they either gave themselves up to him or killed themselves.

And then there was him, the youngest son who couldn't figure out what game you were trying to play.

Was it that you were bored and were only allowing yourself to stay within a household of vampires to cure that boredom? Or was it that you were actually a submissive masochist who wanted something more with their life? Maybe, just maybe, were you there because you actually enjoyed their company?

The poor white haired vampire couldn't understand why anyone in their right mind would want to willingly put themselves in a situation that would most likely lead them to being abused, tortured, and in the usual and worst outcomes, murdered. That's virtually the same thing his mother had gone through, just it wasn't her decision to do so.

Forced into a marriage with a powerful vampire and stripped of all her purity only to be impregnated with a son she would love but be to emotionally and mentally unstable to truly show her affection. That's the life that the white haired vampire's mother was forced to live and he couldn't quite figure out why you would virtually allow what happened to her happen to you.

Though that made it all the more difficult for him to stay away from you.

Theirs no doubt that he loved his mother. There's not even a single question about it. He wanted to help her through her problems and be there to protect her from that horrible man, but he was nothing but a child at that time and even now he couldn't put up a great fight against his father. That's why he can't keep himself away and is always drawn to you.

For once in his blood sucking life he has the power to protect someone that needs it and can actually be of some use. The white haired vampire knows that you're nothing more than a weak human that their sole purpose is to give their body and blood over to members of his kind. He accepted that when he first saw your dainty human form walk through those large front doors of the mansion.

But now things have changed a bit.

His brothers have been after you more often in search of blood and now there are two other families that have their eyes on you as well. But no matter what you, his brothers, and the other six vampires think of him, he will protect you even if it means putting his life on the line.

He can finally protect the one he cares about and have a chance at doing so.

Every time his ears pick up the faintest pitch of your screams, he's the first to immediately go in search of you. He's the one who finds you first and tries to get you out of any bad situation you had gotten yourself into. He's the one who you try to thank for saving you and all you get is a simple "I didn't do it for you but for your blood" in response.

He's the one who went out of his way to keep you alive.

Tonight was no different from the countless nights you've spent within this mansion. You randomly walking around and searching for him while he stayed next to the window that overlooked the forest to the side of the mansion. The white haired vampire could vaguely make out your foot steps as he heard you approach him from way down the hallway. The moon was high up in the air and was only one day away from being a full moon which means that he was going to have to protect you more than ever from the other vampires and possibly himself.

"Hello Subaru-kun." You said with that normal smile on your face once you had walked close enough to him for your voice to successfully reach his ears.

"Shut up and leave me be." He hissed out in response as he leaned against the window sill and continued to stare out into the forest as moon light poured into the hallway.

Not another word escaped your lips as you walked closer to him and looked out the window as well. You could see nothing but large trees that stretched out as far as your human eyes could see. Glancing back towards the white haired vampire, you immediately noticed that he had been intently staring at you since you had began looking out the window.

"I thought I told you to get lost? You already have my silver knife and I've told you that if you stay here any longer, you'll die, and yet you don't leave? Are you really that stupid?" He asked which only made you let out a small laugh and then look him straight in his ruby red eyes.

"Put it this way Subaru, if you weren't here, then I would be long gone by now."

"You're such a waste of time, you know that?"

"Yeah and you can be a little cold hearted ass some times, you know that?"

A small smile crept onto your lips while the vampire in front of you had his eyes narrowed. He didn't seem to be upset or anything of the sort, but more or less just trying to figure out what you had just said and understand exactly what you meant even though it was pretty clear.

Suddenly you felt yourself being pulled to his chest by one of your hands and your neck was then tilted to the side. Lowering his head, the white haired vampire got close enough to your ear so that when he whispered into it, his fangs would ever so slightly brush against it.

"The only thing I know how to do in this world is destroy and I don't feel the need to learn anything else. If this is the path that you chose to go down then you better be prepared to sacrifice everything to me. If you can do at least that much, then I will take you with me into an eternal dream that I'll be sure to keep you alive in. I hope you know what you've gotten yourself into ___ because I won't hesitate to destroy and obliterate anything that get's in between you and I."

A sharp pain then stung your neck signaling that the vampire holding you close to his chest had sunk his fangs deeply into your soft flesh. Small moans and droplets of blood escaped his lips as he stole the crimson liquid from your body. Beginning to feel your senses slowly weaken from the blood loss, you uttered a few last words as unconsciousness began to sweep over you like a thick fog.

"This is the path I chose to go down from the time I first stepped foot in this mansion and saw you glaring at me..."

Your voice trailed off near the end as your eye sight began to blur and fade into nothing but darkness. Then you just went limp in the vampires arms as he finally stopped sucking your blood.

"I'll be sure to break and help you make sense of it all as you fall down into the dark abyss known as my eternal dream." The white haired vampire said as he shifted your body and moved to carry you bridal style as a small smile crept up on his blood stained lips. "I'll try to not destroy you in this process ___, but I have no promise's other than to keep you safe from anybody else's harm..."
