Sakamaki Kanato X Reader ((Diabolik Lovers))

Today was on of those rare mornings where you couldn't sleep. You had finally adjusted to the backwards sleeping schedule of the vampires when all of the sudden it was as if you had become an insomniac.

Now lying in your bed wide awake, you stared at the ceiling. Thoughts of Kanato kept running through your mind. His constant mood changes were always something you enjoyed and seeing him with his sweets always put a small smile on your lips.

But even though you didn't mind being Kanato or his brothers blood bag, rarely sleeping and continuously losing so much blood was beginning to take some negative affects on your body.

Your eyes started having faint circles under them. Moving around was getting harder since almost everything you did caused you to feel faint. Your motor skills had gone down a considerable amount so now you couldn't even struggle against any of the vampires that pursued you.

The only good thing is that it's been about a week since any of them have tried anything so you were regaining some of your strength.

"Ne Teddy, this little girl doesn't seem to be sleeping."

You quickly sat up to see Kanato sitting by your feet at the edge of the bed. He was staring at you with his amethyst colored eyes as he held Teddy by his arms and made him look as though he was standing on the bed. When had he come into your room and more importantly, why was he even here?

"Hm, maybe she can't sleep like me. Is that it ___-chan, can you not sleep?" He asked in an almost sickeningly sweet voice.

"U-Um, not really..." You whispered as a small smirk played at Kanato's lips. That smirk made your heart flutter but you knew that the smirk always meant he had something planned...

It's been a while since you moved into this mansion and some weird things have happened. Even though recently you've been constantly thirsty and craving something, it seemed that Kanato was the first of the vampires to take a real interest in you. It didn't make sense to you why he would even glance at you so why now?

"Come with me." Kanato said as he stood up off the bed and began walking towards your bedroom door.You silently got out of bed and followed him.

Then again, it's not like you had much of a choice...

"Teddy, why is she so quiet?" Kanato spoke to Teddy as he slowed his pace to walk next to you. "You should be grateful that I've offered to take you somewhere ___-chan"

"And I am." You responded with a small smile.

Kanato continued to mumble something under his breath as you both walked up another set of stairs. You didn't know whether to be happy or scared that this insomniac ridden vampire had taken the time to talk to you, but you were still going to be happy about it anyway.

The purple haired vampire stayed silent as he led you onto a balcony at the top of the mansion that overlooked the Sakamaki's estate.

"Why did you bring me up here Kanato-kun?" You asked as the sun light stung your eyes. It's been a while since you've been in direct sunlight. You're usually asleep by now so this is just weird...

"I wanted to come up here but didn't want to leave you alone in your room."

Kanato moved to sit on the balconies railing and dangled his legs over the edge. He kept humming a little tune to himself as he held Teddy with one of his hands until he glanced over his shoulder and stared at you.

"Come here." He said coldly with something hidden in his violet colored eyes.

Listening to what he said, you hesitantly stepped forward towards him. It's been a while since he even attempted to drink your blood so you knew something was different about him.

But what?

The second you got within arms reach of Kanato, he quickly grabbed your hand and pulled you near him.

"Climb over the railing." He ordered.

Slowly you climbed over the railing and didn't dare to look down as Kanato still held onto one of your hands. All you needed was for to fall to your death while the one person you had an interest in laughed at your lifeless body.

"Kanato-kun..." You whispered under your breath as his hand tightened around yours.

"Ne this should be fun, right Teddy...?" He asked the bear with a small smirk as he held it with his other hand.

"W-What?"

Before you got an answer, he had already fallen off the railing and pulled you off with him. Your hair flowed up as Kanato held you to his chest with his arms around your waist while he fell with his back towards the ground. The little stuffed bear named Teddy was squished between you both as you fell.

"Hm, you don't seem scared..." Kanato said sadly as you both were nearing the ground.

"I trust you, that's why." You whispered as you shut your eyes tight and pressed your head against his chest.

The ground finally made contact with Kanato's back causing it to sound as though you both should have broken all your bones, but neither of you were hurt. It didn't surprise you that the vampire beneath you was fine since he wasn't even human. But you didn't understand how you survived that fall.

Even having Kanato practically being a cushion for you, the fall was high enough that any human would die even with someone shielding them.

"Ne Teddy, did you know that she trusted us?" Kanato asked his stuffed animal while his arms around your waist tightened. Black spots started to appear in your vision as you slowly felt yourself slipping into unconsciousness.

"W-Why did you, fling us b-both off of the mansion?" You stuttered out sleepily as you slowly shut your eyes and rested your head on his chest.

"Because... I wanted to see if you could take anything I had to throw at you."

You couldn't even question him since you had already passed out while lying on his chest. A frail, weak, and blood deprived girl such as yourself could only take so much before she collapsed.

"Teddy... It seems that I may like this girl..." Kanato whispered as he carefully lifted you both off the ground and moved to carry you in his arms. "Maybe it wasn't such a bad idea asking Reiji-kun to turn her into one of us."

The amethyst eye colored vampire began walking towards the front door of the mansion while he continued to hold you like a bride.

"Ne ___-chan, I think you'll be my wife very soon. Don't you think she would make a beautiful vampire bride, Teddy?"
