Kent X Reader ((Amnesia))

Dedicated to @CelestandCelestial Once again, sorry for the wait of this chapter! School is starting back up in less than a month and I just remembered about all my summer projects that I haven't started so I've been a little stressed... But I'll just focus on my stories now as to not give myself a heart attack XD

It's been a while since you started dating Kent. Six months to be exact. And somehow within these six months, you and your tall math major haven't even kissed.

Yeah, six months of dating and not a single lip connecting kiss has been shared.

You kiss him on the cheek when you first arrive at his office and he'll usually just give you a small smile as his way of greeting you. But other than that, theirs been little to no other types of affection shared between you both.

It's obvious to you that he returns your feelings whole heartedly, but you can't help but want some sort of physical affection from the man. Even as you sit on one of the couches in his office and silently stare at your open book that sits on your lap, you can't keep yourself from letting your mind and thoughts drift off to that one and only subject.

"Are you alright?" Your boyfriends cool voice rang out into the silence, immediately snapping you out of your thoughts.

"Hm, yeah, I'm fine." Was all you responded with as you shifted your gaze and gave him a small closed eyed smile.

He didn't say anything for a little bit after that. Even after you went back to reading your book, you could still feel his eyes on you. Then after a good ten minutes passed in silence, you heard him shift the chair backwards and then him get up.

You continued to stare at your book even though you had given up on actually reading the words a long time ago as you trained your ears on where exactly he was wandering off to. And much to your surprise, he ended up taking a seat right next to you while holding a very difficult leveled Sudoku puzzle book.

"It's obvious to tell that your lying." Kent said as he flipped open his puzzle book and began scribbling down numbers into the free boxes which were nearly all of them.

"I don't know what you're talking about hun, I'm just reading." You quickly responded as you mindlessly flipped another page of your book.

"If you don't tell me what's bothering you then I can't fix whatever it is I'm doing."

"You don't need to fix anything."

"___, tell me what you're thinking about then."

A small, almost inaudible sigh escaped your lips as you quietly slipped your book shut and turned your head to look over at him. "Do you really wish to know?" You asked him which he just silently nodded to as his answer. "Then I wish we were more like a couple."

"I don't understand what you're implying..."

"I would like it if we were more  physically affectionate towards each other."

"Ohh... Now I understand."

After that, it went back to being quiet. Him completing puzzle after puzzle while you reopened your practically useless book and mindlessly stared at the words on the pages. But after another ten minutes passing, something you didn't think your boyfriend would ever do he suddenly did.

A soft little butterfly kiss was placed on the top of your head which you barely even noticed. You glanced over to Kent only to see him looking at you as if trying to judge that if what he did was acceptable or not.

"And this is why I fell for you." You mumbled under your breath as you shifted a bit so that your head was resting on his upper arm.

"Should I be doing that more often? The books I've read up on the affection topic don't go into the amount of times a certain display of affection should be used."

"It's fine Kent, do whatever it is you're comfortable with..." Your voice trailed off as you glanced back over to his face and then smiled at him. "But kissing my head more often would definitely make me happier."

"I see, so what if I kissed you on the lips?"

You didn't even have a chance to respond as he suddenly wrapped his arm that you were leaning against around your shoulders and then gently placed his lips onto your own. It was a sweet and heart felt kiss that made your heart swell and feel as though it was about to burst from happiness. Once he pulled away from you, Kent gave you one last ghost of a smile and then went back to solving his Sudoku puzzles.

"You should do that more often to." You whispered to him as you snuggled up into his side and finally began to actually read your book instead of just staring blankly at the words.

"I'll be sure to do it more often if this is the reaction you have ___." He spoke cooly as he placed another butterfly kiss onto the top of your head.

"I love you."

"I love you too."
