Dedicated to @ Xx_That_One_Girl_xX I seriously need to get back on my schedule for writing and publishing these on time :$
For the first time in what feels like months, it was actually quiet and rather peaceful in the Sakamaki's mansion.
No yelling.
No screaming.
No flying objects.
Just quiet.
Seeing this as an opportunity for you to finally have some time to yourself, you slowly made your way towards the back of the mansion and for the inner courtyard where none of the brothers rarely ever went.
The Sakamaki's didn't seem to be very fond of the courtyards within their estate. They actually looked to despise the mansion itself except for their own individual rooms...
One you entered the main courtyard, you then went a little further to where the stairs that led to the pond were. But you didn't go down them. You just sat on the top steps and stared out in front of you, thinking about how you've even lived this long with the twelve vampires that continue to surround themselves around you.
It's been somewhere around six months since you moved in with the Sakamamki's against your will. Well, the right term here would be kidnapped, but Reiji's always insisted that you voluntarily came to live with them...
Not long after the first week of living with them, the Mukami's and Tsukinami's decided to make their appearances. And at first, you couldn't deny that all twelve of the vampires frightened you to no end.
Their teeth.
Their cold attitudes.
Their overall existence.
Meeting them wasn't something you had ever even expected to be possible. And yet, you didn't run away from them either.
Subaru has given you multiple chances to take off and never look back. He's even offered to help you escape just so none of his brothers or the other two families would follow you.
But you couldn't accept his offer.
Their lifestyle has grown on you and now you can't even think of returning back to your once normal human way of living.
Not waking up at night and sleeping during the day. Not having to deal with twelve vampires all the time. Not having your blood sucked multiple times a day.
All the weird and torturous things they've been putting you through is now what you consider to be your "normal".
Humans who don't live with or associate themselves with these creatures wouldn't understand how living with them really isn't that bad. Sure they cause you, well, a lot of pain, but they also bring great things along with them. They've all turned into the family you definitely never had since none of your relatives are vampires.
"___-chan, what are you doing out here?" A voice you instantly recognized asked from behind as their footsteps grew nearer.
"Just thinking Kanato-kun." You responded as you glanced over your shoulder towards him.
He was also one of the main reasons you could never leave like Subaru had wanted you to.
This purple haired, psychotic, seemingly bipolar vampire was what kept you rooted down to this mansion against your will.
It's not like Kanato kept you locked up somewhere, but you couldn't bring yourself to leave him. He was the first of his brothers to find you once you walked into their mansion completely and utterly confused as to why you were even there.
There were times when another vampire would get a little to close to you for your comfort and suddenly there he was, saving you from whoever it was going after you and your blood. Him saving you became so frequent that now he rarely leaves you on your own.
He's been the only one to see you as something rather than some worthless piece of trash. Everyone else mostly pays attention to Yui since she was the girl who came here before you and is still currently alive. Though they all fawn over her even though Ayato has claimed her makes no sense to you...
"What are you thinking about?" Kanato asked from beside you as you suddenly noticed him even sitting there.
"Just about how my life has changed while living here."
After you answered him, the purple haired vampire next to you remained silent for quite some time. Normally you wouldn't have paid his quietness much attention. But once you saw his hands that he has wrapped around Teddy ball up into tight fists, you knew something good wasn't floating around in his head.
"Do you hate me?" Kanato finally asked through slightly gritted teeth.
"No." You responded calmly.
"Do you like me?" He then asked.
"Also no."
"THEN WHAT DO YOU THINK OF ME?!" He then yelled as he abruptly stood up and glared down at you.
You looked up to meet his glare with a soft smile. "I love you."
Kanato immediately looked away from you with the faintest tint of pink covering his cheeks. His hands loosened back to their normal state as he stopped hugging Teddy to death.
"Well, then that's alright." He spoke as he looked back down to you. "But I'm the only one you're allowed to love."
And with that, he turned on his heels and started heading back for the mansion, leaving you to only stare at his retreating figure.
"Teddy?" Kanato spoke to his teddy bear as he walked through the courtyard and looked around at all the roses with a slightly confused and conflicted look on his face. "Why do I find myself so happy with hearing ___ say she loves me?"
Next up is Sakamaki Laito.~ *Wink wink* xD
