You are their little sister. More importantly, you are his little sister.

Adopted into the Asahina household, you couldn't had been happier. Having a large family was something that always seemed out of reach and now you finally had it.

But it wasn't what you had expected it to be.

It's not like you were getting on any of the brothers bad sides or anything like that, but you were being put into the little sister role with no negotiating.

You didn't mind it when Wataru asked you to play since you were his big sister. you didn't mind it when Iori would ask you to help him pick out flowers for a girl since you were his sister. But you did mind when a certain lawyer would tell you to go to bed early or to do your chores because you were his little sister.

Being a little sister was worse than just having your love rejected at a hopeful confession...

Your thoughts were becoming over bearing while remaining inside the Sunrise Residence ever since the lawyer had returned home from his work earlier today. Slowly getting up off the couch in the main living room, you walked away from your brothers without saying a word and made your way over to the elevator. Clicking the button that would take you to the first floor, you walked out of the large mansion like house and approached the tree that lied right out front of the main doors.

The sun was just barely setting when you walked around to the other side of the tree and sat down with your back against it. Sitting against the large tree always helped you relax. It was the only place where no one seemed to bother you which was strange since it was right out front of the house...

"What's my beautiful imouto-chan doing out here all alone when the sun is already setting?" A familiar mans voice called out from in front of you. Looking up from your hands and towards the voice, the 4th eldest son quickly came into view as he walked towards you in his gray suit with his long red hair pulled back in a low ponytail.

"Welcome home Hika-nii." You welcomed him with a small smile which he clearly knew was fake.

"What's wrong ___-chan?" He immediately asked as he crouched down in front of your sitting figure.

"Nothing is necessarily wrong, more or less I'm having an internal war with myself and I'm losing horribly..." You whispered to him as you glanced back down towards your hands.

"It's about Kyo-nii, isn't it?" Hikaru asked.

"Isn't it always...?"

"But what has you so down today? Usually you're the life of the party around this place!" The red head said with a very bright smile which you couldn't help but to smile back at.

"My feelings for him have grown a considerable amount since you were last here to visit Hika-nii. But with my feelings getting stronger and stronger with each passing day, my heart breaks even more since it's obvious that he sees me as nothing more than a little sister."

"Oh my imouto-chan, I can assure you that that's not the case.~"

"And why do you think that?"

"Well for one," Hikaru paused as he stood up and peered around the tree that you were still sitting against. "Kyo-nii would never eavesdrop on a conversation like he is now endless he cared deeply for one of the two people who were talking." He finished with a proud smile.

"T-This is not eavesdropping!" Another familiar voice said nervously from behind the large tree.

How much had he heard you speak? How long was he there for? Would he treat you differently now due to what he heard?

Would you still be nothing more than his little sister?

"Hm.~ Then what would you call listening in on a conversation you were not suppose to hear?" Hikaru teased as he gave you a wink.

"I j-just happened to come out here and- DAMMIT HIKARU, JUST GET INSIDE!" The lawyer yelled at his younger brother which in return just made the red head laugh.

"This would be a perfect scenario to write for a conclusion to a novel I just started..." Hikaru whispered under his breath and then smiled at you again. "Imouto-chan, be sure to tell me what happens and I'll dedicate my new novel to you and our stubborn onii-chan."

"If all works out then I'll be sure to talk with you tomorrow." You told him as he walked passed the tree and towards Sunrise Residence.

Everything was silent for a moment as you watched the sun completely set and the stars peek out from behind the golden shine that was left behind. You didn't want to get up from your place under the tree for fear that you would be face to face with the one man you hadn't wanted to see.

"You're not going to move are you?" The blonde's voice rang out from behind while you heard the grass crunching under his weight as he walked towards you.

"Not at this moment, no." You said while he moved from behind the tree and sat down next to you on your right.

Glancing over to the man sitting down, you were taken back to see his appearance. Nothing was actually wrong with the way he looked, his black suit was still in perfect condition and he seemed to be alright. But if you looked closely and used the moon light to your advantage, you could easily see that he had bags under his ocean blue eyes and his bright blonde hair was on the slightly more messy side.

"You're working yourself to hard." You whispered to him as you looked back down at your hands.

"Work isn't the thing that's been keeping me up at night ___-chan."

"Then what is?"

"The same thing that's been keeping you under this tree for the past few weeks."

You didn't know that he'd been watching you every time you came to this tree. It's not like it was much of a secret to begin with, but knowing that he's been keeping an eye on you made you somewhat happy. Even if it was just because you were his little sister, he was watching over you nonetheless.

What you didn't understand was how this lawyer knew the reason behind you coming to this tree to begin with.

"You're in love with someone that's not me... Right Kyo-nii?" You asked him while your hands started to close into fists.

"I am in love," He said while he moved his left hand to cover your two clenched ones. "But the second part was wrong."

Quickly you shifted your head up and moved your eyes to look into his moonlit blue ones. With his free hand, he placed his index finger under your chin and tilted your head up ever so slightly.

"The one I'm in love with is you ___-chan."

The blonde in front of you slowly leaned his face down and gently placed his lips onto your own. Your eyes fluttered shut as you kissed him back and unclenched your hands.

This was definitely not how you'd expected tonight to end up. Kissing someone that was meant to be your sibling under the stars was something that you had only ever day-dreamed about.

"Do you love me?" He asked as you both pulled away for air.

"I've loved you from the very beginning, Ukyo." You said back to him with a bright smile as he hugged you and pulled your small body to his chest.

Sitting in between his legs and snuggled up to his broad chest, the blonde lawyer held you close to himself as you both started to fall asleep. No one bothered you two the entire night as you slept, but one of the brothers were nice enough to drape a blanket over your sleeping forms before either of you had caught a cold.

Your mind was at ease and so was his. The love was mutual and now one thing was for certain, you were no longer just his little sister, but something much more.
