Tommy looked Nancy dead in the eye, not saying anything for a moment. There were a lot of versions of the upcoming conversation.

1. She would simply say "no" after the fact that they slut shamed her in front of the whole town.

2. She would let him in, but he would be to fucking scared to tell her why he was really there.

3. She would let him in and he would tell her everything, she would even understand the situation.

4. She would let him in and he would tell her everything, and she wouldn't believe him or think she would think that he was just messing with her. Maybe she would even decide to hit him.

He was considering every option in his head to choose the direction that would solve the situation. He was staring into her blue eyes when he burst out:

-Steve Harrington.

Steve Harrington, the one and only thing they have in common, the only thing they share. Steve and Tommy share lots of things but believe it or not, Nancy Wheeler really liked Steve, but simply not as much as Tommy Hagan liked him. Tommy was getting used to the fact, of him liking his best friend, the best friend he had been though so much with. They did practically everything two teenage boys wanted to do, they were so similar which made the experience even better. Rich, overworking parents, big houses, loads of money and lots of free time. No one could stop them from doing whatever they desired, because who was there to tell them otherwise? ( daddy + mommy issues deluxe?)Thats probably the reason why they became they people they are today. They grew together over the years with no other them themselves (and Carol, but she isn't important in the story right now) without even realising it.

-Come in, but if this is some kind of trick then I swear to god-

-Its not, I promise. This is as serious as I can get.

He stepped over the doorstep, heavily, leaving a leaf on the Wheelers floor. When he was fully inside Nancy reached for the door handle, after looking around the neighbourhood to see if someone had just witnessed Tommy H walk into her house. When there was no life on the streets she could, now more relaxed and relieved, shut the door behind them.

"I don't have much time, so be quick with the thing you have to say. Follow me."

Nancy walked with hurried steps though her house and over her shoulder she could spot Tommy trying to keep up with her tempo. He was stumbling over the toys Holly had left on the floor, not noticing them when he was curiously trying to catch every detail of her house. He had imagined it completely different, ( ehhh, not creepy at all, Tommy) more of a perfect vibe. In this living room there were stains on the carpet and plates on the counter in the kitchen. 'I guess she isn't as perfect as they come'. He had always called her 'Nancy not so perfect Wheeler' but it was just his jealousy taking over. He couldn't have been more right.

-Sorry about the mess, I can safely say that I wasn't expecting you here.

-It wasn't really on my calendar to come her either.

He decided to come straight to the point, no pity and no small talk. They both knew that their meeting was not going to be a tee party to chit chat about the weather.

-Firstly, I wanted to apologise to you, about the whole incident, or maybe for the whole time you and Steve have been together. I know I've been a total asshole and I've had some kind of aggression towards you since you two started dating. But I have one question, why did you cheat on Steve?

Nancy looked down on her feet, clearly trying to figure out how to answer. She took a deep breath before she started talking.

-There is only one particular reason, that I felt so left out when we were all hanging out. Steve made it very clear from the start that you and Carol are a big part of his life. I accepted it because I was so blinded by his looks, it also felt like I needed to be with him. Imagine this, you are an unpopular girl which only hangs out with her one friend and her books, and suddenly a popular guy likes you. Wouldn't you feel obligated to date him? It felt like he saw me, and maybe he did, but the problem was you. Steve just couldn't shut up about you even when we were on dates. It just felt like he preferred you, put you first. Then Jonathan and I started talking and it kind of led to more, but I still don't understand how we got caught.

Now Tommy was the one empty on words. It wasn't just that by some miracle his lie had showed up to be truth, but that he was the reason they broke up. Now times 2. He felt really terrible inside him knowing that now he had to tell her the truth.
