The wendigo groaned when she hit the ground, her body protesting the treatment it received.
It took a while to gather her thoughts before noticing there was a change of scenery.
She felt the comfort of her mask over her face without the mouth rod, for a moment, she wondered what game this Mother Miranda was placing with her but she didn't voice it nor would she in the near future.
"Ooooh look! She is awake!" She turned her head to the doll in the wedding dress that was talking by itself.
Her gaze shifted over the 'people' in this room that looked like a broken chapel.
She sat up on her knees with ease as the doll flew back in the arms of a veiled woman, Donna Beneviento if her memory was not failing her.
She is older then all of them combined and she knew they were much older then they looked, she'd been in the region long each enough to have heard gossip about them, the four lords and Mother Miranda.
Donna Beneviento, a doll maker with her doll Angie, able to split her Cadou into other dolls and control them... Quite a lonely woman from what she heard but who was she to do anything about it?
Alcina Dimitrescu, a blood thirsty vampire lady with three daughters living in the castle, turning maids into bloody wine when they annoyed her or her daughters.
Karl Heisenberg, a man controlling metal and master of lycans as a few locals called him, a rough man that liked to pick fights.
Salvatore Moreau: a fish man with the only important character trait being that he wanted Miranda to be proud of him which was just sad.
And above them all, Mother Miranda, a scientist that lost her mind, is playing god and with god knows what.
None of them should be able to take her on now that she had rested up, tho not willingly, Miranda only got her by surprise and the help of many dead lycans but she also made a mistake of approaching the village too close.

Donna let out a small gasp as this woman that was just brought in launched from her knee at Mother Miranda, in one jump she closed so much distance and before Alcina or Karl could respectively make their claws grow or the metal yank back, this time she was somehow faster, throwing with her given powers spores of soporific flowers into the woman's face.
Donna's heart beat quite a bit faster, she felt it beat and she didn't like it.
This time she could see the plain black mask on the woman's face from how she fell, the plants acting fast.
"Alcina put those claws away."
"Yes Mother Miranda." Alcina said with the fear all of her children spoke to her with... Other then Karl but he was always like that.
"Let me take the feisty one! it will be fun!" Karl piped up.
"No give her to me, I'll be the most splendid wine out of her, seems exotic too."
"Neither of you can have her, Donna will get the pet."
The doll-maker's eyes went wide, looking at Miranda through the veil to already find her looking at her.
"What?! Why her?!" Karl quite rudely said, pointing his huge hammer at her.
"Because I need answers still out of this pet because the only thing I found out in my experimentation is her abilities and which creature those abilities come from." It was a surprise to all that Miranda herself could not get more information, all lords knowing from that one statement this woman must have been in Miranda's clutches for at least a few months.
"I must agree with Heisenberg, Why Donna? No offence but we are much better candidates to get answers from someone."
Donna, for once, doubted that, she too could make someone beg for their life and give up information if she wanted it.
"She is a tough case to crack even for me, she is much older then any of us from what I could ascertain so she has the strength of years behind her to keep silent about what I want to know and Donna with her flowers can easily manipulate the mind of someone or, just like now, knock them out. Plus her estate is surrounded by fog thick with the spores of the mold, making it much harder to escape then your own castle or factory and finally unlike you she will not mindlessly kill such an important specimen of a race of creatures I just read on in books before."
"And what thing would this pet be?" Angie asked without Donna's accord.
"All I know is that her abilities coincide with those of wendigoes of America, I do not know how she got here, even that she kept from me but I know I am making the good choice, meeting dismissed."
Donna looked at the unconscious body of the white haired woman.
"Oh mother help me why?" She whispered in her mind, having hoped she'd get something from here but not in these circumstances and much less a creature from fairy tales, creatures people didn't dare to name or it would draw it to them.
Donna remembered how Claudia loved reading about different creatures and myths, always wondering if they were real just like the lycans or the other creatures in this village.
These thoughts made her mood even worst but she knew there was no 'no' to be said here and she was forced to accept this new burden in her already stressful life.
