"How could you lose her?! We were down in the basement too!" Angie reminded Donna of her fuck up but she knew she was right.

"There are more pressing matters then yelling at me." Donna said, actually jogging threw the forest, her nerves making her want to find the wendigo as fast as she could because if Mother Miranda found out what happened she was sure she'd have her head, losing her precious research.

Donna grew in playing in this forest with Claudia and as much as some of those memories hurt her they were her guides through it any time she needed to go in it.

This fog was nothing to her, knowing where everything was but usually the fog would drive anyone unwelcome out of it or reroute any human that escaped her to the estate for her to continue playing with but the wendigo was gone for half an hour and was not back, was she immune to the fog's affects? That would be bad.

Angie had screamed at the cuffed woman and Donna had tried too tho her anxiety made her voice much calmer, having noticed which patch of flowers was rolled in and, as her Cadou let her do, it was one of her special flowers she created which would mean a lot of trouble for the creature.

Donna was sure she had rubbed it on a wound, having seen the blood on the window glass still in the frame and on the flowers and now was following the black trail of blood.

These flowers would keep anyone from being able to coagulate their blood, even the smallest cut could lead to their death and usually would so that only added to her frantic heartbeat of fear towards Mother Miranda.

"Run a bit faster!" Angie said, floating ahead but never able to get too far from Donna or their link would break and it was not something either of them appreciated feeling.

"Trying but it is not like I run each day like Heisenberg or Alcina." She said, in her tone and how she called them showing with with she felt closer too.

"Try hard." She huffed at the doll's antics but would not hold grudges against her only friend in this world. (Marathon runner Donna.)

A bit longer of the half jog through the forest bore its fruits too her search, finding the mostly decomposed dead body of a lycan and a familiar head of off-white nearby.

"Please don't be dead, please don't be dead." She whispered in a hurry, kneeling near the unmoving woman, seeing the pool of black blood gathering around her as she pulled a little vial containing lilac colored flower from one of the many hidden pockets in her dress and uncapped it, it smelled of apples but she knew the taste was far from it but it would reverse the affects of the other plant.

She sighed in relief as the wendigo's chest rose and fell tho slow and shallow.

"Thank Mother Miranda." She said to herself.

She froze when she reached for the mask, unable to take it off to help her 'somewhat-prisoner-somewhat-duty', simply unable.

She would be petrified if anyone dared to remove her her veil for any reason and she just couldn't do it to anyone else as, she felt, there was a good reason why even Mother Miranda let her keep that mask despite being her test subject.

She quickly thought better of it and knew Miranda didn't care and would have taken the mask off without a care so it must have been that she thought it was better that the lords didn't see the face of this creature if she put it back on her.

She instead turned to the wounds, visible through the torn clothes, and poured the vial on them, immediately forcing the blood into a solid 'scab-like' object, the woman would be affected by the other flower still until the blood doesn't make it circulate through her body which would take a while but it would work.

Donna sighed, scooting back as her hands were shaking from the adrenaline drop and found herself quite pathetic to be so weak compared to the other lords that she was so easily outsmarted by this creature.

Angie felt her friends mood drop from pure anxious to sadness so she hugged her around the neck, earning a veil-hidden smile from Donna.

"Come on, lets get her back before they found out what happened." Donna nodded at the doll's words, not wanting trouble but despite the Cadou having given Donna's body a 'boost', making her able to easily carry fully grown man to her basement, this creature seemed still so heavy in her arms, the weight of several men, so she struggled a bit in getting back to her home.

The Beneviento lady was covered in sweat and dirt from the forest by the time she got home, wishing for nothing more then a bath but she had more pressing matters to tend too.

With a lot more trouble than on flat ground and with the help of her dolls, she got the woman into the nearest room she could think off, being the unused guest room of the first floor.

"That was stressful." Donna nodded at Angie's words, clearly feeling the same way, almost a hint of annoyance in her heart as she watched the still sleeping woman but she just sighed and left the room, tired of this chase.

By the seventh morning since the creature escape, she was still not up and Donna nervously paced around the room, expecting her to expire at any moment before Mother Miranda would come for her head.

What could she do more? She had found medical thread and stitched the wounds so they wouldn't bleed, she had, albeit blushing deep red, cleaned her clothes and skin from blood, even stitched the rips to occupy herself, she had changed the bandages she covered the stitches with, she had made a healing concoction from her plants, she even tried the more absurd human methods like that annoying think they invented called 'alarm clocks' and the technique of making people smell salt, she seen the villagers try to bring back people that fainted with that but nothing worked.

She was playing with her fingers nervously, not having wanted it to get to this point but despite her growing fear she put in Mother Miranda's number in her phone to call for advice on what to do and if she knew of a way to wake her up.
