(I.... Drew things my dear readers, two to be exact.... Hope you like them as much as I do.)
(so proud of the first one tbh... And I know Moreau is not exactly green but I was looking at fan art and one cute one had him looking like a green pickle so yeah.)
Donna happily hummed, since she lived alone for a long time, unlike other other lords, she did the house cleaning on her own and, again unlike the others, she enjoyed it.
She felt it calming and so, she was mopping up the ground while humming a little song to herself while Angie, who didn't like cleaning day, was dusting off the high up chandelier.
Donna was also using the cleaning today to stay calm, Wendy was out of the house, since no human have passed on by in a while she went out to find one since she was getting hungry.
Donna still feared something happening to her but distracted herself with a stain that refused to leave the wood, mopping up a sweat.
She opened the windows slightly even if it was snowing now, she just need to close it soon.
She rolled her sleeves up to her elbows, sometimes she told herself she really needed to sew some different types of clothes then the ones she wears currently and today's was one of those times.
She looked at the round scars left from the bite, it was not a perfect jaw mark, some marks misaligned or not existing at all anymore, still remembering the breaking skull and how it was.
She rubbed her arm, grabbing it.
She had no problems with the scar even if it was still tender to the touch in places.
"Hey I'm ba---ck." She looked up, catching the momentary frown on Wendy's face as she was whipping the blood on her face into her sleeves.
"Hi." Donna tried to hide her arm but the faster creature grabbed her arms, pulling them up, letting soon go of the uninjured one. "It doesn't hurt." She promised.
"But it did... And I promised I would not hurt you." Red gleaming eyes looked from the scars to Donna's eyes, staring holes into them, so intense Donna wanted to run for the first few seconds of it. "And I still did."
"You were not yourself Wendy, I don't blame you." She said but the creature shook her head, not wanting to believe it. "I am serious Wendy."
"I broke my promise and hurt you, someone I never actually wanted to hurt... I am sorry." Wendy sighed. "I should have never gotten to such a state but that's the problem with wendigoes, we are always hungry and it just gets worst with us either hurt or the smell of flesh and blood nearby, he knew that I am sure and used it to his advantage."
"Hey." Donna grabbed her cheek. "He's gone now, he can't hurt you or me, any of us, he can't and it was his mistake and not yours, you stopped yourself."
"But only after I hurt you." Donna felt the creature lean her head in her hand.
"I don't blame you still, it did hurt but this is now a reminder more then anything okay?"
"....Fine." She let her go finally. "Want help? You have the smallest house between all the lord I visited, willingly or not, but it is still a lot to clean alone."
"Sure if you want to help."
"Less chance to get bored." She rolled up her sleeves too and took off her gloves.
Donna's eyes were on the scars of Wendy this time, not seeing them a lot, she herself had gotten rid of her veil at home but she never asked Wendy to do the same despite her curiosity, knowing very well the feeling of being forced to show what she didn't want.
"How.... Did you get those?" She asked tentatively.
"Oh these?" She held up her arms. "A boring story really."
"I don't mind, it passes the time while we clean."
"Alright... Well this one here was from an escape attempt from Umbrella bastards, this one is from who is technically my father, this is--" Wendy troubleless-ly listed off worst and worst things that happened to her to get those scars and Donna knew many more hid in places she could not see.
Her heart clenched at how casual Wendy was about them all but there was also a spark of anger for Umbrella, the organisation that helped Ethan Winters and almost cost her own life once before.
Donna wanted to make them pay, not realizing what she wished for was part of the missing piece in the puzzle on Wendy's past.
