(Sooo as I said last... Retconning... Only one thing was Retconned and is it in Wendy's abilities... not only is she a beasty woman but in making her human and trying to turn her into a weapon Umbrella had embedded two powers, blood manipulation and turning into smoke... Forget anything to do with the blood ability, written out of the story and delete in the previous chapter...
I reread my book as promised and I think I honestly don't have much to do, a few Rose-y chapters, of Wendy and Alcina talking of bird mommy murder, the bird mommy murder, the Q&A answer of 'yes' for a smut chapter (you'll need to wait for that one fyi) and a few more... So yeah, I'll probably work on finishing this book for soon.)
"I mean... She is actually cute when in one piece."
The baby didn't remain the secret for long when it came with the Dimitrescus... With their tendencies to just pop up unannounced at the estate.
But surprisingly, the woman that suffered most from Ethan Winters' first rampage here was the one that had the least amount of surprise seeing the mold baby. She had even said the previous statement.
"At least she is a normal child." Donna half complained and half was relieved that it was the case, just how much harder it would be it it needed fertilizer or something else like humans... She, of course, still doesn't bat an eye at bloodshed but having to feed one being with humans is enough.
Angie was pulling a grumpy face with a scribbled on frown to be sure everyone knew she was not happy the baby was using the baby seat that had previously been her seat at the dinning table.
Because of the temperature, only the matriarch of the Dimitrescus had come on over for some tea time and had had given the time for Donna and Wendy to explain why this baby was once again in the village before making her opinion known.
Wendy found it a positive point she didn't instantly suggest to tell the bird mother but just asked questions any mother would ask... Making Wendy wonder if she could be considered a mother now.
Well... Like... She did kidnap the baby as father went boom and mother was unknown and they were keeping it alive and feeding it... That's what a mother does... At least a wendigo parent does that. She already used the comparison once about a wendigo parent being a being that taught the offspring before them parting ways when the child is old enough aka keeping it alive and feeding it.
Donna had told her it was not the same for human or ex-human beings but Wendy still never was a human and couldn't really give another word to this relationship to this baby, only a parent did this even if Donna used the word 'guardian'.
"She looked ugly when I found her. I don't really pity him but knowing humans, at least Winters died without seeing the state she was in."
"From what you described, she was in a sorry state but I suppose mold fixes all." Alcina said.
She had finally gotten that haircut not too long ago, something about it being upper back now to stay out of baby rang even in the little chair it had... Wendy was this close to biting it for the hair tugging and Donna was not taking risks.
The baby is already here and when has Donna been heartless?... Don't answer that... But she's not about to throw out a baby to its death, she is not that type of evil and she can't really give it away to others without it being more dangerous for her then just keeping it around in her own home.
"Well if you need help just call me." Alcina sigh. "I'll keep this a secret, only because I like you."
"Thanks, I appreciate it." Donna sigh, shoulders relaxing, having been really tense.
"You better." The corpse of a woman joked. "Or I would need to hurt you for hurting ma Chérie over there."
"I'll keep it in mind."
Wendy would need to get her alone, not wanting to have Donna or anyone around when she mentioned the bird murder to the vampire lady. Maybe having others around would make it easier but she didn't want external factors to have a word in it so she didn't bring it up.
But if bird mommy still stays on this path her job will be easier then she thought, the woman driving a wedge between her and her most loyal lord that is doing more damage then she thinks without realizing as she is so focused on the little game Wendy is playing with her.
Oh she'll savor the day the old hag remembers her.
Maybe she'll hear her scream like she did that day all over again.
She didn't say much, letting the lords talk it out as it seemed the baby was staying indeed.
"Well ladies, I'll head back to my daughters... As I said, call me if you need anything."
"Byebye~" Wendy waved her off.
There was a moment of silence when the front door closed.
"So can we get that drool monster out of my chair?" Angie pipped up.
Wendy couldn't help the loud laugh, making the doll even more annoyed, trying to hit her with its tiny fists.
Ever since the start of this game, Wendy was a good few steps ahead of Miranda and the trap was slowly closing in.
What bird is strong enough to weather death itself?
None.
And the pieces are all but in place for her.
