Chapter 43

Minerva

I pull the covers off of Y/n and Severus picks her up and puts her over his shoulder. I follow after him until we get to the carriage that was waiting outside. Severus puts her in and I climb in after. He closes the door and leaves.

The driver takes off, taking us to where I told him. Y/n just stares at the floor, barely moving any muscles.

I just pick up my book and continue where I left off.

The time goes by quickly and we're there in under two chapters. Though the chapters are very long.

I re-bookmark my book and hobble out of the carriage. Y/n reluctantly followed suit and her jaw drops when she sees where I've taken her.

"Minerva?"

"I'm just here to read my book and keep creeps away. You do your thing and relax."

I sit by the entranceway to the alleyway and Y/n goes down to her spot. She breathes in deeply and sits. A little blonde cat pops up out of nowhere and Y/n starts sobbing and telling the cat everything.

I try not to mind it but it's quite weird. Especially the way the cat moves. It acts almost like I do in cat form.

I turn my back and open my book. It's so good I never want to put it down. A little time passes and an idea pops into my head.

I set my book down and transfigure into my cat form.

I walk over and rub myself against Y/n. I lock eyes with the other cat and I know for sure. It's a wizard in the shape of a cat.

I smile and transform back into my human form right in front of both of them.

The cat takes a step back, looks between the both of us. Then he changes too.

There stands Clint in the exact shape he was every time Y/n describes him. She gasps and hits the wall. Hard.

Y/n

Oh my god

Clint?

"Clint?!" Tears build up in my eyes.

"Y/n."

I stand up from the wall and attack him with a big bear hug. We hug, laughing and crying.

"I missed you girly. Seems like you've gotten friendly with my sort."

"Oh my god Clint! I'm a witch! I've known longer than I've known you! You went to muggle school!"

"For awhile yes, but then my powers developed and my parents had me cut all ties with everyone. What better way to do that than death?"

"I can't believe it!" I use my hands to memorize the lines of his face and then hug him again.

"So are you still with that ass of a man?" I start laughing.

"It was a misunderstanding and we worked through it..."

"But what?"

"I almost got raped and it was terrifying."

"You always show up on your worst days." He jokes, "You should've come when you first found out you were pregnant."

"Well that brings up another thought. Why are you always here in cat form?"

"I love this place. So much. But everyone thinks I'm dead. So when I get a chance I make my way down here. I never found the right person for me so I come down here after work and enjoy the cat life." He chuckles. "But we're talking about you right now. How are you feeling?"

"Shocked, terrified, if it wasn't for Severus I wouldn't have been able to stop it."

"Did the asshole pay for it?"

"I believe Sev took care of all that."

"That's good."

"I haven't left the hospital bed for days Clint. It's the safest place in the school. There's rarely a moment when someone isn't watching after me. My life hasn't been good and when it's finally getting better something awful happens. I'm afraid the next bad thing isn't going to be me... but it'll be my baby. I can't lose Henley."

"You won't lose her. I won't let it happen. I have a boring muggle job... need a bodyguard?"

I laugh and hug him. "No bud but I appreciate it. I'm still having a hard time processing the fact that you aren't dead!"

"Sorry Y/n but I had to and then I couldn't find you."

"It's okay. No more secrets though, now that we know we're both wizards. Deal?"

"Deal."

"Now go home and tell your man how amazing he is and have a nice day."

"Okay, thank you Clint. I've missed you so much."

We hug and he kisses my cheek like he used to. Then Minerva escorts me back to Hogwarts. My home.
