"Ugh." I groan as I bend down to pick up one of Wendy's toys. I'm so massive in size I can't even see my feet anymore.

Clint stopped by yesterday and his jaw dropped. He apparently lost track of time. Cat form is much different from human form. I'm a little less than a month out now and my bones ache from simply sitting up.

The news in the wizarding world hasn't been very positive and the dark lord has gained most if not all of his power back and is preparing to attack Hogwarts. Harry has been sent out to find the horcruxes and it's taking longer than anyone at Hogwarts expected.

It's mid morning and Wendy is outside playing in the wildflowers while I try to pick up a little around the house. The wind is blowing and Wendy's hair which is starting to get quite long, is flying around her making her giggle even more. It's an excruciatingly hot day so Wendy is barely wearing any clothes. Luckily the wind is keeping her cool.

For me though, I have the AC blasting. It's a nice perk in this house. Internal AC and heating. I have some older songs playing in the background to drown up my groans and grunts as I try to bend over.

I hear the door open and I look back over my shoulder to see Wendy in the arms of Minerva. I stand back up quickly and give her a very pointed look.

"Minerva?" She smiles sweetly and kisses Wendy's head.

"Y/n."

"I never told you where we were. You can't know. For gods sake Minerva this was supposed to keep us safe."

"I'll wipe my memory of today if you want but I can't go any longer without seeing my precious Wendy and my favorite person." She walks over to me and sets Wendy down on the floor. Wendy giggles to herself and immediately grabs the toy I was trying to pick up before Minerva showed up.

"I thought Severus was your favorite person." Wendy looked up at me at the sound of his name and I shake my head no at her. She understands and the excitement drains from her face.

"Not anymore. He's become a massive 'douche wad' I believe I heard a kid saying. He's worse than before you were with us. He trips students in the hallways just to hand out detentions. I've heard him yelling at his classes with little to no provocation. And he gives me the cold shoulder during lunch and skips out on our tea time gossip sessions." She whines the last part making me hide a smirk. Minnie and her gossip I laugh to myself.

"So I'm here," she continues. " to play with my favorite little kid and to check up on you. You are glowing by the way."

"I am certainly not. I'm sweaty and gigantic and ready for this last month to go by swiftly. August humidity is killing me."

"It is extremely warm isn't it..." she takes a moment to scan the house. "You have a beautiful place Y/n."

"It's all thanks to Clint. I couldn't have done any of this without him. I'm assuming he was he one who told you I was here."

"Oh no, I haven't heard from Clint. I'm just good at finding people when my life depends on it."

"Your life didn't depend on finding me Minerva." She doesn't say a word, "Right?"

"No but my sanity did." I let out a breath of relief, this woman will give me a heart attack one of these days. "Enough chitchat! I want to get all caught up on the happenings of your life."

"Well, I'm due in a little less than a month."

"ALREADY? I'm not prepared to be a godparent! I  got so caught up with Severus's bullshit that I haven't had time to knit her a onesie!"

"That's fine Minnie, you'll have plenty of time to knit her clothing for the rest of your life. I promise!"

"Oh jeez, are you ready?"

"I have everything I need for a home birth. Her room is all set up and Clint is very proud of his handy work."

"Good good. This is exciting! But you're not going to let me come back are you."

"No, you are the godparent and her namesake but this is the last time you'll see me in a long while. I'll be wiping your memory myself before I send you off."

"But that's not fair Y/n. It took me forever to pinpoint your location."

"Well if you were smart enough you wrote down a hint or something for later. But even if you did, I'm resecuring the magic borders around my house."

"Magic borders?"

"Yes, it's very helpful to keep Wendy's magic under control as I teach her how to use it and it's nice to feel secure from apparating enemies."

"We'll I'm kind of glad that they are weak because if I had to trek 10+ miles to get here I would've been mad. I don't like being sweaty."

"I know." I laugh. "I'll give you 2 hours to play with Wendy before I'm sending you on your way."

"Fine." She huffs a little and then puts on her excited "there's a baby" face on.

I laugh to myself as Minnie and Wendy play together while I clean. I make us lunch and set the table for the three of us. Wendy in her high chair and Minnie and I at the table.

Minerva looks impressed by the kitchen itself and my cooking. Which has improved significantly since Severus nor HouseElves have been cooking for us.

"This was great Y/n, thank you for letting me stay this long."

"Of course Minnie, we love you. It's not like we want to be secluded. This is just our safest option until the dark lord is dead."

"I understand. I just miss you."

"I miss you too. We all do." We absorb each other's presence for a minute just enjoying the company. "Promise me something?"

"Of course, anything."

"As soon as he's dead, reach out to me. I'm coming to kill his goonies and to get my man back."

"Duh." Minerva says with her usual sass. "I was going to come get you myself if I had to. He needs a make out session like a need a hard whiskey."

"Day drinking?"

"For months now." We both laugh at that one even though she's being completely truthful. "Merlin I miss you."

"I miss you more."

"No crying." Wendy says through a mouthful of bologna sandwich.

We both laugh and agree with her. Our world is already sad. No need to worsen it.

We finished our meal and walked out to the edge of our magical barrier. I hold Minerva's hands after we hugged and I smile at her. "I kind of hope you figure it out again. I needed this."

"We both did."

"Bye bye Minnie!" Wendy said happily.

"Bye bye my favorite little girlie. Be good for your momma okay?"

"Okay!"

"Run on inside bug. I'll be there in a second."

"Okay Momma!" She hugged  Minnie's leg and then skipped off. Minerva's eyes filled with tears.

"Be safe."

"Always." I cast the spell right as she starts the apparatus spell and her face goes black right as she blips from sight.
