Today was the day.

The day everyone in this living quarters had been dreading for weeks.

Pam was informing Finnick and I about what would happen today during breakfast. "And then you will be escorted to the aircraft. But this time there won't be other tributes inside, you'll only have your stylist with you." Pam explained.

"After that you will both be escorted in private rooms for the last time and they'll give you your outfits." Finnick and I nodded after showing we understood.

A knock was heard from the front door as Pam got up to see who it was. When she opened the door, a peacekeeper stepped inside with another one right behind him. Even with the masks covering their entire faces, they could still be heard perfectly fine.

"We are here to collect the two tributes of District 4." The one on the left said. The way they spoke was so firm and robotic you wouldn't expect there to be an actual human being behind all the uniform.

Without saying another word, Finnick got up from his seat and hugged Pam. I stood from my seat also, waiting for them to finish before it was my turn to give her a hug.

"Thank you Pam for everything. When Mags wakes up, tell her I have a letter for her sitting in her bedside table. And if it comes down to it.. There are envelopes on my bed with names on them, if I don't return I need you to give them out please." I whispered to her as we held each other.

"I know you'll come back to us Kat. You did it before and I have no doubt you'll do it again. Show them, show everyone that you are not just the Capitol's Darling, you're Katia Odair. The Katia who proved everyone wrong and won the games 7 years ago. Show everyone that, that bitch is back."

I smiled listening to Pam, she sure knew how to give speeches. I nodded my head showing her I understood before a peacekeeper grabbed a hold of my arm, ushering us out of the room.

As we stepped outside the room into the hallway, two more peacekeepers were waiting for us. With a peacekeeper walking on each side of me, they guided me and Finnick to seperate areas without letting us say another word to each other.

A few minutes went by after Finnick and I were separated and that's when it hit me that I never got the chance to say a proper goodbye to my brother.

Finnick thought it was pointless, saying that we would get a proper chance inside the arena, but one of the first rules of the games, don't underestimate the gamekeepers. You will never know what extent they would go to, to make an entertaining game.

There's a great possibility that I won't ever get to say goodbye to my brother before something tragic happens. We were going to be with different allies and everyone knows i'm a completely different person inside the arena, therefore there was no telling what could happen.

A hand grabbing hold of mine brought me back out from my thoughts. I looked down to where our hands connected and up to see who had the audacity to touch me, when it landed on Quelly. She squeezed my hand and sent me a small nod as we continued to walk down the hallway.

Quelly always had this special ability to sense whenever I let my inside voice get the best of me and consume me yet she also knew how to stop them. That I was very grateful for.

Once we had finally arrived and the helicopter was right infront of us, I inhaled a short breath before walking inside, Quelly following behind.
