THIRD PERSON VIEW
The careers and Katia walked through the forest in silence. Mostly because they were exhausted from the chase they encountered before, but also because they were scared that talking would distract them if another mutt or tribute approached them and they wouldn't hear.
They had all yet to figure the structure of the arena, therefore they had no idea the order all these horrors would go or where it happen
They had been walking for hours, taking quick small breaks when one of them would receive a sponsor. The sun had risen and it was no longer dark, helping them see further in the forest.
That's when suddenly, they started to hear rumbling of trees from a far.
They didn't have time to process what it was when a sudden tidal wave hit metres away from them.
They were grateful that they had taken that water break earlier, knowing if they hadn't, they would've been caught up in that exact wave. They were lucky to just miss it, unlike some tributes.
BOOM!
Cashmere slightly flinched at the sound of the canon, as the others just stood frozen, unsure of what to do in this moment.
"We need to head back to the cornucopia. It's definitely a lot safer than out here." Brutus stated to the group as he adjusted his grip on his spear and started to walk to his left, the way towards the centre of the arena.
The others nodded without saying another word as they followed Brutus.

It didn't take long for them to reach the cornucopia, but as Brutus was about to walk out of the forest and onto the beach, Katia who was behind him, placed her hand on his left shoulder firmly.
He paused and turned his head around to give the girl a confused look, as the other three careers stood behind Katia, also pausing.
"Over there." She spoke quietly, pointing with her fingers towards one of the rock walls. "Tributes. It's them." She explained as she pointed to six figures walking towards the cornucopia.
They were far away from them, but Katia could recognise them almost instantly. The girl on fire leading at the front holding a bow and her fiancé following right behind. Johanna Mason, someone who she used to see as her bestfriend, swinging her axe around mindlessly, not even bothered how close it would get to Beetee behind her.
And then her eyes landed on the person she had been dying to see the moment the game started, her brother. But something immediately caught her off guard as she stared at what was in his hands.
Two tridents. One of them belonging to Katia Odair.
Rage filled her entire body as she couldn't tear her eyes away from the weapon.
Although knives were Katia's most skilled weapon, the trident will always belong to the Odairs. It was what reminded and represented their home and district, it was what their father had taught them how to use at the age of 3 and 6.
Katia mentally couldn't deal not having a trident in her hands in a place like the hunger games, therefore she would do anything and everything to get it back.
She cleared her throat quietly, gaining the other's attention who were silently watching the tributes.
"I have a plan."
