KATIA'S POV

I have no idea how long i've spent hidden away with the plants, maybe 10 minutes? an hour?

I decided that however long it's been, was enough rest for me.

I grabbed my trident that was on the ground beside me and stood up. I stretched my body out for a moment, after being curled up for however long it was.

Then I started to walk.

Where? I had no idea.

But I just kept walking in a direction I had hoped would lead me back to my allies.

After a minute or two of walking, an electric chime caught my attention. It had been a while since I had received a sponsor.

Once it landed in my palms, I wasted no time in opening it, curious on what it could be.

Nothing.

Nothing but a note.

I grabbed it and slowly opened it.

Run to your right.
Waste no time, start running.

Confusion was plastered on my face at what I just read.

What does that mean? It wasn't signed. Who sent this to me? But most importantly..
Do I listen? Is this person trying to save my life from something or someone, or are they leading me into a trap?

Fuck it.

I don't know why, but for some reason I felt like this person was trying to save me. So I started running. They said to waste no time, so I started running fast.

I had no idea where I was running to or how long I was meant to run for, but I had a gut feeling I would know when the time came.

A few seconds of non-stop speeding through the jungle, I started to make out a voice.

I slowed down my pace to concentrate on who the voice may belong to.

"Do you really think she would abandon us? Even if it's to be with her brother?"

I immediately recognised the voice and pushed through the plants in my way until I was met with two tributes in front of me.

Brute and E.

They must've heard my loud shuffling through the jungle as both their weapons were on the ready.

My gaze softened once I realised I had found my allies. My bestfriends.

I ran straight towards them and engulfed them in a hug. They instantly reciprocated it as E softly mumbled in my ear; "Katia thank god you're okay."

I let out a sigh of relief as I slowly pulled away. "What happened back there? Is your brother ok?" Enobaria asked with a worry.

I smiled at her as I slowly crouched down on the floor in exhaustion. "He's ok, after the cornucopia stopped spinning we just had a quick talk before I ran."

"Katia are you ok?" Brutus asked as they both watched me plop to the ground, laying my head against a nearby tree.

"Yeah yeah i'm fine, I think i just need a moment to rest. I think the lack of sleep is catching up to me." I was so tired I just drowned out my surroundings as my mind immediately wandered off to sleep.
