3.11 i ain't a judas

"She okay?" Daryl asks in the doorway of Genny's cell.

"She will be. I got the bullet out and stopped the bleeding. Now she just needs rest," Hershel says.

The night was filled with Genny's screaming as Hershel dug around in her upper leg to find the bullet. Everybody was exhausted as nobody was able to sleep.

Glenn, Daryl and Rick ended up having to lock merle out as he was on a rampage about silencing her for good. Daryl sat by her bed and held her hand as she almost broke it.

"I'll stay with her," he says softly sitting down by her feet.

"Okay, call me when somethings wrong," Hershel says putting a hand on his shoulder before leaving the cell.

Daryl sits with Genny almost the whole day until Andrea comes by. Genny is still sleeping when Daryl takes Andrea to see her. "What happened?" Andrea asks moving a hair out of Genny's face.

"Your boyfriend shot her. Hit an artery in her thigh," Daryl says staying on edge.

Andrea sighs before getting up and Daryl lets her walk out past him. "Just tell her I'm sorry," she says looking at Genny again.

That night as Beth is singing Daryl hears some movement in the cell behind him. He walks in and smiles as Genny sits up slowly.

"Hey," she smiles seeing him.

He walks over to her and goes to hug her but she flinch's as her hand pushes on his chest. His face turns to horror as she looks down with tears in her eyes.

"I thought...I thought he didn't..." he says with tears in his eyes.

She shakes her head and looks up again. "He didn't. But I kept..." she moves her hand and moves with her fingers next her temple, "I kept getting flashbacks." She says with tears rolling down her face.

Daryl carefully grabs her hand, she holds it as he sits next her on the bed. She lays her head on his shoulder crying as he holds her tightly. "I'm never leaving you alone again," he says against her head.
