Daryl walks over to the tent of Genny and Glenn and peaks in. "Gen, you up?" He asks.

She doesn't reply but Glenn looks at him. "She couldn't sleep last night. Had a nightmare," he sighs getting up and putting on his shoes.

"She has nightmares?" Daryl asks looking at her.

Glenn nods getting up, "she'll tell you eventually," he says putting a hand on Daryl's shoulder before walking off.

Daryl walks into the tent and kisses Genny's head. She stirs a little turning her head into her pillow. "Hey, I'm going out again. I'll see you tonight," he whispers.

She turns to her back as he gets up. "Can I come?" She asks sitting up.

He smiles putting his hands on her cheeks. "No," he says softly.

She sighs as he kisses her, "tomorrow?" She whispers against his lips.

He smiles pulling back. "We'll see that tomorrow," he whispers before walking off.

Genny spends the day trying to teach herself how to throw knives. "You can't even stab someone, how about we do that first?" Rick asks leaning against a tree behind her.

"You wanna teach me hand to hand combat?" She frowns turning to him.

He smiles and walks to her. "Better then washing clothes? Right?" He asks with raised eyebrows.

Genny is out with Glenn practicing the moves Rick taught her. Suddenly a gunshot rings from the farm and Genny shoots around. "That wasn't..." Glenn starts with a dreadful voice.

"The farm," she breaths out before they start sprinting to the farm.

Rick walks out of the farm house as Genny runs over to him. "What happened?" She asks trying to her in.

"Daryl, he..." Rick starts.

Genny's eyes go wide and she tries to run past him but he stops her. "No! Let me go! I need to see him!" She protests hitting his arms.

"Not yet! Hershel is stitching him up!" He yells over her voice.

She is eventually allowed to go to Daryl and hugs him as he grunts painful, "I'm okay." He says letting out a painful and shaky breath.

"What the hell did you do to yourself?" She yells hitting his arm.

He groans as she frowns at him. "I got shot," he sighs.

"You're an idiot," she yells getting up and walking away throwing the door shut behind her.

He looks at the door with a frown. "What the..." he starts but the door flights open again.

"The next time I ask to come! You let me!" She yells pointing her finger in his face.

"Will you calm down? I'm fine, I'm alive, I'm here," he says loudly sitting up slightly with a grunt.

She looks at him before he pulls her on his lap. "I'm alive," he whispers kissing her softly, "I'm not gonna die until I'm like...90." He smiles kissing her behind her ear.

She sighs sitting next him. "I hate feeling helpless," she sighs as he lays down keeping his chest and back covered with the blanket.

He looks at her with a frown. "Then I'll teach you how to fight," he says putting a hand on her lower back.

She looks at him with raised eyebrows. "Really?" She asks laying her head on his chest.

"Yes, we'll start with hand to hand, then I'll teach you how to use a knife. Then guns, maybe my crossbow, or bow and arrow," he smiles playing with her short hair.

Both skip dinner that night and Carol brings them dinner. "Use protection," she jokes walking out the door.

Genny turns bright red and barely eats while Daryl looks at her, "Gen? You okay?" He asks putting his hand on her lower arm.

She flinchs and gets up leaving her food. "Im not hungry," she says softly not looking at him as she leaves the room.
