Chapter 1

"Oh come on Connor I so tired." I rolled over away from Connor as he was getting into bed from his late shift. I had to get up in three hours. "Oh come on Lily" He smiles as he kissed my neck a few times and then doing down my arm back up my neck. Then bites a little. I roll over facing him and smile. "Connor I'm.." Before I could finished he placed his lips on mine and kissed me passionately. "You .need. to .shave." I said between kisses. He smiled and rubs his face that needed to be shaved weeks ago on my face. I throw my arms around him and sit on top of him. "Thought you were tired?" He smiled. I placed my hands in his and lean down to his body sliding his arms up over his head. "I am But you woke me up." I kissed him a few times on the chest. then got off of him. "That's it?" I smiled and rolled over. "Your such a tease you know." I smiled and start to close my eye.

A few minutes past and then we both hear crying. I tell Connor to stay in bed and that I will get the babies. I walked down the hall and into their room. It had been three weeks since we changed where they sleep and I was still getting used to it. I grabbed Elijah and fed him and he finally goes back to sleep. Then as soon as I get him in Maverick wakes up and cries. I feed him and he finally goes back to sleep. I looked at the clock and see I have to get up in thirty minutes so I decided to just stay up and go into work a little early. I walk back to my room and grab my things and go into the shower. After the shower I dry my hair, put my make up on and then head to the kitchen to get some food. I had another twenty minutes to spare. I made some coffee and then grabbed my shoes and left. I walked to my car and headed to work.

I walked into the E.D. and see some of the night shifts works and they were finishing up before leaving. "Hey Lily your here early." I placed my things down and turn around to see Maggie. "Yeah Connor and the babies woke me up." I placed my name tag on my scrub top and placed my stethoscope around my neck. I walked over to the computer to see who came in that night and see who I needed to check on. I looked up and see Will and Natalie come in, then April. "Morning" I smiled seeing my brother and sister in law. "How's my nephews doing?" I smiled. "They are great." I showed a few new pictures and everyone loved them. Maggie gets a call that we have someone coming in that is fighting the paramedics. "Will, Lily your up."

"We have a 28 year old male. Combative since we got to the scene. Couldn't check vitals nor place a IV." The young paramedic said as she was pushing him into the room. Three officers where behind them one with a bloody nose. "You can come with me." Natalie said taking the officer to another room. Will, I and two other nurses and a cop held the guy down and placed restraints. "Get off of me!" He yelled throwing his arm and tossing me into the metal station that has al the medications. "Lily." Will said. "I'm fine." I said getting up and holding his arm back down. will yells for some meds and then finally gives it to the guy. "I want a blood test and urn test. And Lily come on lets get you look at. Also Call Dr. Charles down here when he wakes up."

I walked o the other room and Will looks at my head. "Your head his bust open a little. Let me close it." I let him do what he needed and went back to work even when Will told me to take the rest of the off. "Lily you could have a concussion." Will was upset and call Connor just to keep an eye on me later when I come home. I looked up to see him walk through the door thirty minutes later with the babies. "What you doing here?" He gives Natalie one Elijah since he was begging to hold one of them and then Maggie to the other. "Got call in." Dr. Bekker was off today." He looked at my head and then gave me a look. "I'm fine love. If I get worse I'll let someone know." I said kissing him and helping him take the babies to the daycare floor.
