Chapter 8

A month had past and Grace hadn't shown back up and Connor was finally home. He starts back work in two weeks and I can say he really is ready to start back up. We were finally home and I can tell the boys were excited about that and for their daddy being home. My little family was back to normal.

"Come on Elijah you can do it." Connor said. I looked up from reading and see Elijah trying to stand up on his own. But then falls back down. "Oh man so close." Connor said laughing. Maverick was laughing at the tv. Then started to get up set that Connor wasn't paying any attention to him. "Go get him hun." I said shrugging to Maverick. I put my book down and walk over to my boys. I laid my head on Connor's lap and he looks down. "You know your so damn beautiful." I smile and he leans down to kiss me. I place my hand on his face and kiss him back. I turn around and sit up to face Connor he pulls me in and kiss my neck. I looked at the boys who were watching some baby show. Connor gently forces my face to face him again and we start to kiss again. "Knock , knock." We stop what we were doing and I went to the door. "Oh hi Cornelius." He steps in and walks over to Connor. "Your leaving?" I looked at Connor shocked and confused. "No dad. Come out here." Connor said pointing to the sliding door going outside.

I grab the boys and put them to bed for their nap, and walked back to the living room once they finally went down. Cornelius walked back in upset. "Dad , I was just think about it. I haven't made my mind up yet." Cornelius looked at me "and you agreed to this." I was dumbfounded I had no idea what they were talking about but I wanted to know. "Dad she didn't know yet. Like I said I was just thinking about it I never made my mind up yet." I placed my hand on my forehead. "Could someone please explain what the hell is going on. And what are you two talking about!"

"Connor wants to go to another Hospital in another state. Or at least he is concerning it." I looked at Connor shocked. "What?" I asked quietly. "I thought we could have a new start so much was happening and has happened and I thought that since I had a job offer I might take it." I didn't know what to say. I didn't know why to even think. He was right and with what had happened with Grace. "Why didn't you bring this up before?" He stepped back and through his hands up. "I didn't take the job I turn it down. Ms.Good win and I made a deal. So I am staying." Cornelius left and Connor and I was left staring at one another. I walked back to our room fuming.

"Lily I wasn't going to take the job we have a family and we both work at the same hospital. And we have family here." I started pacing back and forth. "That not the point Connor you didn't include me even just thinking about moving. We have kids to Heather. I understand we are not married but we should have at least talked about. I would have agreed to what ever you decided on." He was shocked and didn't have anything else to say. I went to the bathroom and close the door I needed to get away from him for a moment. "Lily I'm sorry." He was making me mad and I just wanted him to shut up. I walked out of the room needing time alone
