Everything was going great. Connor and Lily was finally parents and talking about marriage. They have finally felt that their lives are normal. Lily starting back to work and so has Connor. The twin baby boys going to daycare at their work. Until on...
"Come on Lily you have to try this one." Connor pushed the cake slice over to me as I was finishing the one I had just placed in my mouth. It was cake tasting day and I absolutely loved this part of the wedding planning. Connor and I had tried maybe five different ones so far. And had been to three different bakeries. "I promise you'll love this one." Connor smiled as I tried the cake slice and he was right I most definitely loved this cake. "Guess we found the cake." I smiled taking his last bite. With a smirk.
We left the bakery and decided to walk around before head to Natalie and Wills place to pick up the boys. "Come on we haven't seen your sister or dad in awhile." I grabbed Connor's hand as we got closer to his dads store. Plus I needed new shoes and I didn't want to admit that out loud since he thinks I had enough shoes. Which by his defense I do but I need new ones for the wedding.
The store was busy with customers. We walked around for a little while and then went up to the next floor. "Finally." I whispered as I saw the shoes. Connor looked over my way with a questionable look. "Your not serous?" I smiled big and let go of his hand. "Just look dear." I called back as I made my way to where the heels were. "Lily you have enough. And I know you have at least pair you haven't even worn yet." Connor laughed trying to make a point. "But those are brown Connor. I'm looking for either white or nude. For the dress." I smiled holding up a pair.
"Oh I like those." Both Connor and I turn around and seen Claire walked up towards us with a smile. "Oh thank goodness. Claire tell Connor brown heels will not look good with the dress. White or nude color will." She laughed but agreed. "Guess I can't argue with two women." Connor shook his head. I smiled and Claire and I started walking through the isles looking at the rest of the heels. Finally making my decision I grabbed a beautiful pair.

"These are perfect Lily." Claire grabbed them and we walked to her office. Connor followed behind and closed the door as we made our way in. "What what have you both been up to?" Claire grabbed a drink and went to hand both of us one but we both declined. "We just finished cake taking. Finally picked one." I placed my hand in Connor's feeling the excitement build up again. "Just a couple more months then we are married." He responded. "How's the boys? I mean to come see them but it's been busy now dad stopped working here." Connor and I both have a questionable look at Claire. Neither one of us had herd of him stop working at the shop. "What do you mean?" Connor asked surprised. "He didn't tell you? He's working for the hospital you two work at part of the board. Starts next week actually." We both looked at each other then back to Claire.
It was getting late so we decided to leave and head to get the boys. "Come by the house sometime the boys misses their aunt you know." I said smiling. We hugged and then Connor and I made our way out. "I can't believe he didn't tell us he was going to work for the hospital." I said as we walked out. Connor didn't say anything just looked ahead. I felt bad for him. I thought his dad and him were finally in a good place. And had told each other thing now but this one stumped us.
Connor stopped the car in front of Wills place and we both got out. "Don't say anything until I talk to my father." I agree and we both walked in. "Natalie." I said as I closed the door. "Mommy!" Looking across the room Elijah and Maverick were playing as Owen was watching cartoons. "How were they?" I asked smiling at them. "Oh they were a handful. I have no idea how you both do it." I looked at Natalie shocked as they normally were great. She started to laugh and placed a hand on my shoulder. "Lily they are fantastic. You should have seen your face." Natalie finished laughing as she walked over to the boys. Maverick stood up and started walking over to us and Elijah followed behind. They began talking both baby talk and some words were could understand.
"We should be getting home Lily. We both have work tomorrow." We both picked up each kid and said by to Will and Natalie. "Bye Owen." I said smiling as he turn his head then went back to the t.v." Natalie shock her head. "He's 7 going on 16." Connor and I both laughed at the comment and made our way out. "Oh I can't wait to show you the shoes I got today." I told Natalie as we stopped at the door. "Oh please show them tomorrow. I have to pick mine out this week." Will and Connor looked at one another knowing neither of us really needed any more.
The car came to a stop and we both stepped out taking the boys in. The sun had gone down and it was definitely past their bedtime. We quickly but quietly took them in and got them ready for bed. Placing their bears and blankets around them. Connor stepped to the doorway watching as I finished putting Maverick to bed then walking to Elijah. I easily pushed his hair back and trace my finger down his cheek. I could watch them sleep for hours. His small mouth open slightly as he slept pulling his bear tighter. My heart melt as I knew they were growing. Seeing Owen and how big he was the thought of them being that age made me excited to see their personalities and also sad because they were growing so fast.
"Lily come on, before you wake them." Slowly walking out I looked back to them once more and smiled. We walked to the bedroom and I quickly got dressed for bed. As Connor went to shower. I let my hair fall down and got comfortable waiting for Connor to come to bed. The light to the bathroom turn off as he opened the door and walked over to the bed. With just his bottoms on he pulled his side of the blanket back. "Oh no!" I yelled pushing him up. "What?" He laughed confuse. "Your hair. Its wet still. At least go dry it off more with the towel." He did as I asked and came back. Laughing shaking his head. "Here better?" He playfully placed his head on my cheek. Rolling my eyes I kissed his head. "Love you." I whispered "love you too."
