Everything was going great. Connor and Lily was finally parents and talking about marriage. They have finally felt that their lives are normal. Lily starting back to work and so has Connor. The twin baby boys going to daycare at their work. Until on...
The weekend had come it was wedding dress shopping day. I was excited and couldn't wait to choose. Of course Bekker tried had for me to come in today . But luckily Ms. Goodwin put her foot down and told her it wasn't happening and another nurse would be with her today. I was thankful for Ms.Goodwin.
Maggie, Natalie, Claire and I walked into the store. So many dresses of different types hang from both sides of the store. And that wasn't even the half of them. I walked down a few isles and looked at each dress also lucky for us they even had a book of all the dresses with models in them to show what it would look like. "Welcome ladies. You must be the Halstead group." One of the employees walked up with a smile. Had a folder in hand and took us to our spot. "I'm Katey. I'll be assisting you today. So who is the bride to be?" I smiled raising my hand and Katey walked over to be handing me a book. "Congratulations. Please look at the book and pick a few dresses. And we can get started." I grabbed the book and start looking through it smiling at all the dresses. "There are so many." I said stunned. "Here is your wine as well." Katey placed wine i front of all of us. "Oh water for me please." Natalie hadn't publicly announced her and Will's pregnancy so we didn't say anything about it.
Maggie and Natalie found their pick for Lily and passed the book. Both dresses were beautiful and stunning. Then Claire found her pick. Katey came back and placed the water down for Natalie. "Found any dresses you all like?" They showed her their picks but I wanted to wait and show them mine at the end then we can pick.
Katey showed me my dressing room and then she went to grab the first pick. Maggie's. I sat on the chair that was placed in the room. The room was a good size. Grey walls and a beautiful small chandelier for the light. A large three piece mirror and a small stage like in the center.
I sat thinking of everything that had happened since I had returned home. All the obstacles I had to go through and here I was finally going to marry the man I love. Wondering about the future, Will we have another baby when the boys grow up some? Move into our very own home? Will we even stay in Chicago?
"Okay Lily, here are these to try." I watched as Katey placed each one on a hook that was on the wall. "This was Maggie's choice. And then this is...Natalie's and finally Claire's." As I was undressing Katey took the one Maggie picked down first and then helped me into it. Turning me around to face the mirror I was amazed as to what it looked like. "Okay Lily. Let's go show them." Katey let me go out first and walked to the show room first. "Oh my gosh!!" They all gasped as I walked. "I knew you would look great in this one." Maggie said smiling.

I stood on a small stage and make a complete 360 to show the true full dress. "This is stunning." Natalie look to have tears coming to her eyes as she spoke. "Okay dress to coming up." Katey helped me back to the dressing room and out of the dress.
"Okay this is Natalie pick." Once again I turn to face the mirror and was shocked how breathtaking this dress was. "Ready!" Katey had a smile which told me she also like this one. "Okay."
Walking out I stepped to the stage in the show room again. "Lily, you like a princess in this one." Claire said shocked at the dress. "This one really fits you love." Maggie was in aww.

"This one really is something. Right?" Natalie said. "I do love this one." I smiled turning once more.
Finally back to the dressing room Katey took me out of the dress and then into the last pick from the ladies. Claire pick was elegant and simple but spoke volumes. I waited in the mirror a moment longer looking at the dress. "Wow." Was the only thing I could say.
"Oh my." Maggie said seeing me first coming out. Natalie and Claire couldn't look away. You could tell they really did like the dress. "Looks better on you then I could have imagined." Claire said happily.

We walked back to the dressing room and it was time for my pick. Katey let to see get the dress and I slowly made my way out of the dress.
"Okay. Last one." I slowly stepped into the dress and Katey helped zip it up. "I also grabbed this. To give the full effect." I turn and the veil and it was place on my head. This really made me look like a bride. "Oh. My .." I turn around twice and couldn't look away. My heart felt as it stopped and started with a new beat. I couldn't stop smiling. And a tear came down as it all came settling in. "This dress was most definitely make for you Lily." Katey whispered as she looked at me.
Walking out it was quite as I came to the show room. I wasn't sure what they were thinking and it made me nervous. No sounds, no comments, no face expressions. Just quiet stillness. I stepped on the stage and turn around once more. "What do you think?"

"You don't like it?" I was unsure since no one had said anything. "No love...we absolutely love this one." Natalie finally spoke. Maggie and Claire shake their heads in agreement and then smiled. "Well Lily, you found your dream dress?" I took one more look in the mirror with a tear softly coming down. "This is the one." I looked back at the ladies and they raised their glasses. "To the dress." Maggie said with a chuckle.
