Chapter 5

I jumped out of bed as I looked at the clock. I had forgotten to set the alarm. I had 30 minutes to get get dress and get to work. Meaning I had 10 minutes to get dress and hopefully 15 minutes to work. But no idea how traffic is. "Dam it Connor." I said as he rolled over. "What." He said still asleep. "No alarm. I'm going to be late." He looks at the clock and then at me. "Sorry." I rush out of the room trying not to wake the babies. I grab my things and run out to the car. I jump into the car and head to the hospital I was going to be late I just have no idea how much.

I park the car and walk into the hospital. Maggie was looking at me when I walked in. I placed my bag under the desk and see Will come up. "Well your late." I rolled my eyes and went on the computer to see the patients I needed to check on. I had a few patients come in and then finally I went to check on the others. It was close to lunch and I hadn't herd from Connor. I pulled out my phone to see if he had called. I put my phone away and told my self to call him later.

After my last patient check I walked back to the desk and I see Will and Dr.Choi. Maggie came over to me and so did Ms.Goodwin. I see the worry in Wills face and then I looked over to see April. "What's going on?" Maggie looked at Will and then took a deep breath. "Don't freak out. Connor was involved in a accident. They are bring him in." I felt my heart stop and I forgot to breath. As soon as Maggie placed her hand on my shoulder the doors open with Connor coming in. Will and Dr.Choi ran over and then April and Maggie. "On my count 1,2,3." I hear crying and see my babies come in with Jay. I went to check on them and noticed they were fine. "What happened?" I demanded to know. Connor was hit by a car. The kids were in their car seats. "We don't know who the drive was." I hear Connor yell and Jay and I look over his direction. "I have the kids go check on him." Jay said seeing how worried I was. I kissed Elijah and Maverick and then went to Connor. My heart was racing and panic was setting in. Dr. Latham came running into the room before I could make it. "Connor." I said seeing the impact. He was awake. Had an open wound on his leg and a open gash on his head. X-rays were up and it looked like he had a few broken ribs. "Lily." I heard him say and I rushed to him. "The boys." I grabbed his hand "they are fine. Not a scratch on them." Before I could say anything else Dr.Latham notice a bleeder and rushed him to surgery.

My heart felt like it was going to explode. My breathing got heavy and felt as if the next one was harder to catch. "Lily look at me. Connor is in good hands and your babies are fine." Will walked me to a chair and Tried to help catch my breath. "I don't know what I would do without him." I cried. I was scared for Connor and then I remembered Jay said he was hit by a car. Then it hit me it had to be Rays mother. And then rage flooded over me
