A month had past and the boys where put into daycare. I decided to go back to work half-time just to get out of the house. I had just dropped off the boys in day care and I headed back to the ED. I placed my things on the nurses station and see what we had for right now. It wasn't to busy at the moment, so I took a seat looking at the computer. "Well how do you like being back?" I looked up and Maggie with a huge grin on her face. "I had forgotten how much I love this place and see you all." We hug and then got to work. Will and Nat walked in together and head over to me. We talked for a minute and then they went to get ready. I looked at the clock and checked my phone. I knew Connor was supposed to be in the ED today and sadly so was Dr. Bekker.
A few patients come in and Will and I were working on them and then I worked with Natalie on the other. Finally Connor came down and helped with a few patients. Then headed to surgery on one of them. I was stuck with Dr.Bekker with a patient that had a head trauma and a gun shot to the belly. We finally finished but sadly he didn't make it. Connor was walking back to the ED and I saw Dr.Bekker watching him from the Corner of my eye. I walked over to him smiled and place a kiss on his cheek. I looked over to Dr.Bekker and she looked away and went another direction. "What was that all about?" I smiled and said "well i hadn't seen you all day and I missed you." He smiled and rolled his eyes. "Just can't get enough of me." We walked to the desk and see Maggie smiling. "I saw that• she said quietly. I smiled and went to the desk to do notes. The doors to the entrance open and a man who was on a gurney came in with two cops and the paramedics. "Let me go!" He yells he tries kicking but his legs were tied down. "Found this guy running in the streets. Couldn't put a IV in to combative." Said one of the paramedics. Connor, Will and I go in the room with the guy. Maggie starts paging Dr.Charles or Sarah.
"Can you tell us your name?" Will asked. The guy wouldn't respond with his name and just screams he wants out. He ends up breaking from his restraints punches Will. I grab his arm and place it back on the bed. Dr.Charles walks in and gives him some medication. Connor orders some tests and then goes checks on Will. After I put the tests in I walked over to the other room and see Will sitting on the bed with a black eye. Connor was patching his face with what had two cuts on it under the eye. "Oh Will," Natalie said walking in behind me. "I'll be fine." He gets off the bed and places a ice pack in his eye. I finish up my work and then it was lunch. I grab a few things and then head to the cafeteria. I saw Sarah siting at one of the tables, so I grabbed my lunch paid for it and went to her. "I herd you had a crazy morning." I smiled and said "yeah." We talked for a minute and then she told me about her father. How he was just trying to be nice and that he can't actually feel anything for her. I wanted to cry for her. But she looked like she was holding herself up. We finished lunch and then before we left she told me she was leaving. I hated it but I knew she needed to.
