~Some hands touch you more than hands ever could~

Evangeline's PoV
"Do I really have to sit here?", I asked Tobias with a sigh. He looked up from the huge pile of paperwork on his desk before placing the pen down.

"Yes," he spoke flatly. "Read a book, sing, scream, whatever, I don't give a fuck as long as you're in this room."

"Wh-."

The door was suddenly pushed open and the beautiful girl from the other day was revealed. She looked at Tobias and walked fully into the room before stopping. Tobias' gaze was still on me making her slowly turn around to me on the couch.

Why was he still looking at me? She's his fiancée.

"Hello again," she spoke with a small sad smile before she turned to Tobias. I didn't say a word as I gave her a small wave.

"Caterina-."

"No," she interrupted him. "I don't need to sit down and I don't need any privacy to tell you what I need to tell you." He stayed silent, watching her carefully. "You already know the wedding is happening in two weeks. You have to stop it from happening. No one is listening to me when I say I don't want this anymore."

"Caterina, I can't," he told her, making me furrow my eyebrows in confusion. "A part of your fathers business and a part of a mine will merge. We need this marriage."

"There you are again not listening to me! I don't want to marry someone I don't love! I can't be trapped like that!"

"Cat-."

"No!," she interrupted him once again, making him annoyed as he let out a deep breath and glared at her ever so slightly. "Just stop! I don't want to marry you because I've fallen in love with someone!"

Tobias stayed silent as he stared at her, possibly trying to make sense off all of this in his head.

"Who?"

"No one you need to concern yourself with," she snapped, clearly not wanting to give up her lovers name.

"Okay then. I'll see what I can do," he told her as he began busying himself giving her the hint to leave.

"Good luck," I told her with a small smile as she left for some reason. I'm still not sure why I even said that.

She's nice. I really like her.

"Whatcha gonna do about it?," I asked him with a sigh as I stood up and sat on the edge of his desk. He let out an annoyed sigh and dropped his pen and looked up at me. He gave me a displeased look as he pushed me off the desk. "Could've just asked me nicely."

He shrugged his shoulders. "I don't care. Don't sit on my fucking desk."

I let out a deep sigh as I paced back and forth in the office. "Why are you always swearing?," I asked him, placing my hands on my hips. "There's literally no need for it."

"There is."

"What is it then?"

"My need." I rolled my eyes as both of us fell silent.

"So, have you spoken to Enzo?," I asked him genuinely curious about him. He shook his head, no.

"He's pissed off with me," he shrugged his shoulders. I nodded my head. We fell silent again.

"Tob-," I began to say.

"Eva, let's go," he spoke suddenly spoke, cutting me off. I stood stunned for a moment at what he called me. Eva? He stood up and swiftly walked out of the office with long strides. It took me a while to catch up to him.

We had gone down several hallways and get he still refused to tell me what was going on. Suddenly, we got to a door. He pushed it open and shoved me inside.

"Keep her company," he spoke before he left, slamming the door behind him.

"Wait! I thought u said we couldn't-," one of them yelled out but stopped when the door slammed. I looked in front of me only to see all of them minus Enzo and Tobias in here.

"So this is where you've been hiding out then?," I asked them.

"This is just a coincidence," Aidan spoke. "I was here first then they all just came one after the other."

"Anyway," Elias, his twin, spoke giving him a glare. "We're just about to play a game." I walked towards them all and sat beside Theodore and Elias.

"Monopoly," Theodore told me since Elias forgot to mention it.

"I've never played before."

"Rules of the game," Eros spoke catching my attention before he droned on about how to buy a property and about the cards and other stuff. "Now that's done," he spoke clapping his hands, catching my attention once again. "It's good to see you again." I gave him a soft smile.

Nicholas was sat opposite me motionless as he stared at me. I gave him a small smile feeling slightly confused. It's been a while but I don't think I can be forgotten that easily, right?

"We've not started yet," Theodore told me quietly, not looking up from his little metal hat in the game.

"So you're just in time!," Aidan exclaimed starting the game.

"So you've pissed him off," Eros stated. "How?" I shrugged my shoulders, not really knowing how I did it.

"I was just talking to him and he brought me here," I spoke confused.

"You've got some skill that you really gotta show me," Eros spoke pointedly as if he'd hunt me down if I didn't. I nodded my head as I rolled the dice and moved a few boxes up.

"You must've really pissed him off if he left you here with us," Aidan chuckled out making the others glare at him.

"What do you mean?," I asked knowing full well what he meant since Tobias had already told me.

"N-Nothing," he stuttered looking to the others for help. "I just meant he wanted to get rid of you?"

"Why does that sound like a question?," I asked him trying to get something out of him.

"It doesn't," he spoke calmly, having just collected his composure and thoughts. "It was a statement."

"Okay," I spoke, backing down, knowing full well he wasn't going to tell me the truth.

I really feel like I've been a nuisance to everyone today.
