~It's pretty fucked up how okay you were after hurting me~
Evangeline's PoV
"We've got ten minutes," Tobias said as he walked into my room. "Let's pack your shit."
"I've pulled out what I think I need to take," I told him as I pointed to the pile of clothes on my bed. He opened the suitcase he gave me only to see a couple of bras and panties thrown inside.
"You'll need more than this," he told me. "We might end up being there for a while." I quickly rushed to get more out and tried to make sure my face wasn't as red as a strawberry. Without another word, he packed my things whilst teaching me how to do it at the same time. He zipped the suitcase shut and picked it up, setting it on its wheels.
"Thank you," I said with a smile. He didn't say another word as we both stood in silence.
"Caterina was right," he began before he stopped. It seemed as though he was second guessing himself.
"Right about what?"
"My feelings towards you."
I paused, frozen from shock.
He has feelings for me?
He watched me stare at him in shock for a moment. "Fuck it," I heard him mumbled before he closed the space between us and locked his lips with mine. The familiar feeling of his hands on my waist and his soft lips against mine made me realise just how badly I wanted this. My arms instinctively went around his neck, pulling him closer to me.
"You're mine," he mumbled against my lips before smashing his lips against mine again. This time we were both more needy. The kiss was frantic and desperate as his fingers ran up and down my sides causing a shiver to run down my spine.
It was the good kind of shiver.
After a few more seconds, we pulled apart. Neither of us moved an inch as we rested our foreheads against each others. "Now what?," I asked, knowing full well this is just going to keep happening. He didn't say a word as he tried to catch his breath. "Before I forget, I've got feelings for you too."
"Been waiting to do this since you woke up," he chuckled slightly before stopping. "Then things happened and it wasn't the right time."
"Well, I'm glad it happened."

I looked around happily as I got onto the private jet. "All this for us?," I asked Tobias as he walked slowly behind me. He just let out a hum in response as I walked around looking at every single thing. "So we're here for many hours in this rectangular thing?"
"Yeah," he said, looking up from his phone for a moment. I didn't say a word as I watched him sit down in a chair.
"Wow," I said in awe before I sat opposite him.
"Seatbelt," he told me as he clicked his own in place. Watching his actions, I did the same. Looking out of the window, the plane was moving. My leg began bouncing up and down as I tried to get rid of the anxiety and fear I felt. Tobias put his hand on my leg making me stop shaking momentarily.
"It's okay," he told me calmly.
"What if the engine stops working and we we die? What if we walk around and the floor gives way from under us and then we die? What if we die?"
"Then we die," he shrugged. I narrowed my eyes at him.
"You're not very good at consoling people, are you?," I asked him.
"I try to be." I glanced back out of the window again only to see how high we were from the ground. Tobias leaned forward again. "You're with me. Nothing is gonna happen."
"You're not the pilot," I retorted. "So you can't control what happens. If I die- no, wait- I changed my mind. There's no point in telling you what I want written on my gravestone because you'll be dead too."
"We're not gonna die. But if you keep saying it then maybe it'll happen." I narrowed my eyes at him, wanting to tell him to shut up.
Just as I was about to open my mouth to speak, he silences me. "Look at that, we're already in the air," he said with a smirk even though I already knew that, knowing full well how badly I was panicking.
Yeah, whatever.
-
I sat on the chair with my legs tucked underneath me. Tobias was talking to someone on the phone. I didn't think you were meant to be using a phone so high up in the sky but he didn't seem to care. I looked out of the window at the clouds.
I wanna touch a cloud.
I've never been this close to anyone let alone a man before obviously. So this whole dating and feelings thing is something I've never done. It's kinda scary. Like I don't know if we're a couple or if we're going to go back to how things were? We've kissed far too many times for it to just be an accident now.
"What're you thinking about?," he suddenly asked me as he sat in the seat across me.
"Us," I answered honestly.
Maybe I shouldn't have said that.
"What's there to think about?"
"Just thinking about how scary the whole thing is," I shrugged. He didn't say a word as he sat quietly, listening to me. "You know I've not ever been with anyone obviously so it's kinda new to me."
I knew what being in a relationship consisted of. My mother told me the basics of it and claimed all relationships are different.
"If you're worried about me rushing you into anything, don't be," he told me, seriously. "You're in charge of this whole relationship."
Look at him, a big bad mafia leader giving me the reins in this thing of ours.
"So there's a relationship?," I asked genuinely confused.
"What do you call two people who kiss and have feelings for each other?"
"A couple?"
"Bingo."
"Why did you just assume that we're a couple? What if I didn't wanna be a couple?"
"Okay," he said letting out a sigh. "What would you like to be, Evangeline?"
"Right now, I would love to be appreciating your tone. But I'm not," I said narrowing my eyes at his tone. He stayed silent for a moment.
"Would you be my girlfriend?"
A huge grin made its way onto my face as I bit my cheeks trying my hardest not to smile anymore. It was so random.
"Oh, I'm definitely appreciating your tone now."
He narrowed his eyes at me as I let out a chuckle. "Answer the damn the question." My chuckle cut short as I stared at him blankly. "Please," he added, noticing my stare.
"You don't seem so big and bad anymore, Mr Mafia Boss," I said with a smile as I bit my lip trying to keep in the laugh that's threatening to escape.
"Never am with you."
