~A sky full of stars and he was staring at her~
Epilogue
Evangeline's PoV
I watched them playing from afar with a smile on my face. Tobias chased them, pretending to be a monster that'll eat them but little did they know that their parents were actual monsters. My babies, Nico and Viola screamed in happiness as they ran on the beach.
Nico and Viola are twins. Instead of the one baby we thought we were having, we ended up with two. Nico had covered Viola, hence why we wasn't able to see her on the scans. Nico was the bigger baby, Viola was much smaller.
The twins are five and the night I murdered a man still haunts me. I never had to do something like that again but I know that my children will have to one day. That's just the life they were born in. Eventually, they'll take over the mafia.
"Let's get mommy!," I heard Tobias yell before Nico threw himself at me, making me fall back onto the sand.
I let out a grunt as my back hit the sand.
It wasn't a soft landing.
"Nico, honey, that hurt," I frowned as I sat up with him still on me.
"Idiot," Viola spoke up.
"That's not a nice thing to say," I told her sternly.
"Sorry," she instantly said.
"Good."
"Sorry, mommy," Nico spoke up, apologising for the little fall we had.
"It's all good."
"Get up. Go build some sandcastles away from us," Tobias groaned out as he threw himself on the ground beside me. I watched as the twins walked away from us. They were close enough but not too close. "They're too fucking hyper for me."
"That's what I deal with whenever you go and do your mafia things," I chuckled out. "A couple of cups of coffee normally gets me through it."
We stayed silent for a moment, just watching them play.
"We're doing good, aren't we?," I suddenly asked him.
"I've not heard either of them cuss yet so I think we are."
"Yeah we probably are."
"We're gonna make mistakes," Tobias said as he grabbed my hand in his. "The twins are ours. We're gonna fuck up but then we have to fix it. We've got until they're 18 to do it right."
"You're right. If we were doing something wrong then we would've known by now."
"I agree."
"I'm glad I met you."
"I'm glad I bought you," he rushed out before he burst out laughing. A small smile broke out on my face as I lightly hit him over the head.
He's not wrong. That's where it all started. If he hadn't have bought me then we wouldn't be here.
"Who the fuck is that?," Tobias said, suddenly startling me as he stared at the area where our children were playing. Instantly, he stood up and made his way to them.
