~I guess our story ends here~
Evangeline's PoV
"Tobi," I breathed out as I stared at him like he was an alien. He didn't saw a word as his eyes roamed all over me. I can't blame him I did the same.Just as I was about to walk towards him, I could hear Lucas' familiar voice call out to me. "Eva!"
I froze as Tobias visibly tensed. I watched as he clenched his fists. I didn't reply to Lucas as I continued watching him. I wanted to tell him that Lucas is just a friend.
Before I knew it, Lucas was in front of me. "Come on, let's go."
"W-What?," I asked, snapping out of my trance and facing him. "What're you doing here?"
"I just came to pick you up," he answered. "Thought it'd be dark and I didn't want you to be alone." He came to stand beside me instead of infront of me and threw an arm across my shoulders, pulling me into his side.
I moved my head to try and see Tobias again but he had gone. I could feel my heart sink as I had lost him yet again. The whole way home I stayed silent as I thought about Tobias. I hadn't seen him in a while.
Lucas dropped me off at my door and stood waiting expectantly as I unlocked the door. I entered and turned to face him. "I'll see you tomorrow," I said, not wanting to be around anyone right now. "Thanks for walking me back."
"No problem," he said as he turned to leave. He paused for a moment as if he was waiting for me to tell him to stop before continuing on. I turned and closed the door. I leaned against it, not believing what I had seen.
I saw Tobias.
I saw him.
After so many months of dreaming about him, I finally saw him.
I let out a sigh and kicked my shoes off as I walked further into my home, hoping deep down that he had broken in and was sat on the couch waiting for me. I looked towards the couch to see no one there. I couldn't help but feel disappointed.
I walked through my apartment until I got to my bedroom, I undressed and immediately hit my bed and fell asleep.
-
"What the hell do you want?," I snapped angrily as I answered my phone.
"You forgot about our plans, didn't you?," Lucas asked me. I rolled my eyes almost getting annoyed with him. He had ruined yet again another sex dream with Tobias so I was beyond annoyed.
"I did. I finished work late and was kinda hoping I could sleep in," I sighed out, not in the mood of being nice. We make plans all the time, it wouldn't hurt if I cancelled just this once.
"Oh. Okay. I guess I'll just take my coffee to go then," he told me before pausing for a moment.
"If you're already there...," I suddenly said, instantly feeling bad. "I'm on my way. Caterina is gonna be coming along too." He didn't say a word as I cut the call.
I never had a chance to talk to her about what happened last night so on the way to the coffee shop, I can fill her in.
-
"What the fuck!," she exclaimed almost happily as we entered the store. "That's crazy. That's just fucking crazy." A huge grin had formed on her face but I didn't have the chance to ask her about it as Lucas called us over to the table once he saw us.
"Instead of staying here, I think we should go for a walk," Caterina suggested. "The weather is beautiful and we can't waste it by being stuck inside." I instantly agreed, not wanting to be stuck inside for a while however, Lucas needed a bit more persuading before he finally agreed.
We left the coffee shop and walked along the sidewalk. Lucas' hand instantly found my waist making me freeze up almost instantly. Caterina didn't seem to notice as she looked around. We ended up on a secluded street. "Are we lost?," I suddenly asked Caterina since we were following her.
"Nope."
I didn't say another word as I followed her. Suddenly, a ton of black SUV's approached us, each one stopping after the other. "What's going on?," Lucas asked as I looked around confused.
"No clue," I answered as we all stopped where we were. A bunch of people had come out of the cars, one in particular making my heart skip a beat.
"Eva," he said softly as he came face to face with me but stood a few feet away.
"Tobi," I breathed out, finally realising how much I actually truly need and want him. His gaze hardened as his eyes landed on the hand around my waist.
I had forgotten about him.
The way his hand tightened on my waist didn't go unnoticed by me and Tobias as his gaze hardened even more if that was possible. "Get your fucking hands off of her," Tobias spat out as he took a threatening step forward.
"Who the fuck are you to tell me what to do?," Lucas snapped. Both men rolled their shoulders back. I quickly placed my hand on top of Lucas' to try and get him to move his hand. It didn't work.
"I'm the man who's gonna fucking kill you and deliver your fucking head to your mom," Tobias seethed, almost making me laugh.
"Just move your hand," I told Lucas. He acted like he didn't hear me.
"Asshole, she said move your fucking hand," Caterina spoke up, yet he still acted as though he didn't hear us. Lucas' grip on my waist tightened as his nails dug into my skin causing me pain.
I let out a hiss. Tobias' gaze snapped towards me and then the hand on my waist. "I'm not gonna fucking tell you twice," Tobias said threateningly as he rolled his shoulders back and cracked his knuckles.
"Lucas just go," I told him, trying to move out of his hold. He pulled me back. "Lucas, I'm being serious. Get off me."
He still didn't let go as his eyes locked onto Tobias. They both stared eachother down for a few minutes before Tobias suddenly let out a scoff. "Tell the fucking boss she's mine."
How the hell is the boss involved?
What the hell is happening?
