Moonstone's POV
Moonstone's life was officially a train wreck. The school was the worst, especially history. All they taught was how awful the wolves were, and it took all of her willpower not to tell them how wrong they were.
Then after that torturous school, she had to meet a guard at a certain point in the village, who would then take her back to her prison cell, where she spent the rest of her time.
She kind of wished that Flick would come back with another message. One that says that her friends are ignoring her request and coming to rescue her anyway. The nights were especially awful. When she usually is out soaring under the stars with Starclaw, she now can't even see the moon through her small prison window.
Finally, on an especially despairing night, her instincts kind of took over. She felt a tingle around her crescent Lunar Stone, and it just kept building and building until an image of Finn appeared in her mind. It was of him searching for her with his amazing heroic and worried features.
With that final despair, she shoved the energy out of her mind, and everything around her went black. Not the kind of black where you are unconscious, more of an eerie silence like she had fallen into sleep with no dreams.
Suddenly, Finn appeared in the blackness. She knew it was probably a dream, but she couldn't help yelp with joy at his handsome face. She wished he was actually with her, though just this little relief was enough for now.
Then he spoke, "where am I?" Then he looked at her, and his face brightened as he had just found the moon. "Oh, my gosh, Moonstone, you're here!"
He ran over to her and hugged her. She felt awkward —her face probably was as red as a tomato— but she remembered it was a dream and leaned into him. He felt and smelled just like he had before, his fur as soft as a cloud and had a faint smell of the ocean.
"How are you here? Last I knew, you were wherever you were hiding or being held prisoner —depending on what it was— and I was with Sage and Starclaw searching through the forest."
"W-wait, you mean this isn't a dream?" She asked when he was finally finished. She pulled away from him so she could survey him better.
Now that she was looking at him, he looked a lot more tired and battered than usual.
"Not that I last checked. Unless I fell asleep while searching for you."
"That seems pretty unlikely. I think I remember reading something about how wolves and dragons can't fall asleep while standing up."
"That makes sense. But then how are we talking right now? Also, WHERE ARE YOU?" He asked and then started yelling.
"I . . . I think it might have something to do with my Lunar Stone? Also, I'm not sure I should tell you. I don't want you to end up in the same situation I am in. Or worse considering you're a full wolf."
"Does that mean you're with the dragons?"
"No! Please stop guessing!"
"Definitely with the dragons. Which means you're probably being held prisoner."
"Stop!" She was crying now, "please stop. You can't come after me. You can't!"
"Okay, we won't. I swear it on queen Alda's life," he pulled her into a hug, and she sobbed into his fur. She couldn't do this anymore. She couldn't put up a front and pretend everything was fine.
This kidnapping was worse than anything she had ever experienced. Every move she made was being controlled and watched. She was an outsider and a prisoner. She didn't have her sister or her friends to help her through this. She was totally and completely alone.
