Moonstone's POV

Moonstone awoke from her drug-induced slumber to find that she was chained and muzzled in a cold, dark cell. She heaved herself up on heavy talons, only to find that the chains around her paws were bolted to the floor.

She saw a tiny bit of light coming from a barred-up window. She walked over, the chains rattling as she went. Then she looked out of the window to see that she was in the dragon mountains overlooking her home in the wolf forest.

She longed to be back there, at the infirmary checking on Starclaw or walking the halls of Ultimuna with Finn. Though, of course, she had to be in this rotten-smelling cell, with no way out, no friends, totally and completely trapped.

"Oh, good, you're awake!" A cheery voice sounded from outside her cell, interrupting her mental downward spiral.

She turned around and glared at the dragon who had just spoken. "Oh, that's no way to treat a queen, is it? No bowing or anything? Those wolves are such a bad influence." Her eyes widened when she realized she was face to face with queen Errier, queen of the dragons. Queen Errier made a tsk tsk sound and moved close to the bars.

"How is that delightful wolf queen anyways? Still worrying about her precious Moon and Lunar Stones?" The queen frowned when she saw the crescent Lunar Stone on Moonstone's forehead.

"I'm sure you weren't born with that or all this fur, so how exactly did you gain it?" Moonstone shrugged, unable to answer because of the muzzle.

"Oh. Right." Queen Errier made a circular motion with one of her claws, and a guard quickly slipped into her cell.

She growled and tried slashing at the guard with her sharp claws, and he backed against the wall. Then he edged towards her again, and this time she swung her tail, tripping him.

"Now, no more of that. How about instead of attacking my staff, you can listen to me tell you how I'm going to use you to take down those pesky wolves?"

Now the queen had gotten her attention, and she turned to look at her.

"So, here is my deal. You either corporate and become a proper dragon in my kingdom. Or I brainwash you into destroying everything and everyone in that ugly forest you love so much."

Moonstone's breathing quickened, not knowing what to do. On one talon, she didn't want this slimy queen to be her queen for the rest of her life. But at the same time, she knew how powerful she could be in battle and didn't want to hurt Starclaw or Finn or her parents or anyone else that has been kind to her over the years.

Moonstone sighed and bowed her head, making it easier for the dragon to take off her muzzle.

"Now that's a good girl. You will quite like it here in my kingdom. I'm a kind and fair ruler. Everyone loves me."

"And humble too," Moonstone mumbled once her muzzle was removed.

"Oh, and I don't know if those horrid-mannered wolves taught you this, but in my kingdom, my citizens are not allowed to disrespect their queens."
Moonstone sighed and lied on the sarcasm when she said, "of course, your majesty. Everything you do is best, and no one should ever question you."

"Exactly!" Queen Errier said because apparently, she knew nothing of sarcasm, "now you're getting it! Now tomorrow you will attend our school, Flameneria."

Moonstone snorted at the ridiculous name, but all she said was, "yes, your majesty."

"Good! Now get some rest for your amazing school day tomorrow."

Moonstone begrudgingly walked down the hard streets of the dragon city to the stupid dragon school. She missed the soft soil and grass of the forest. She somehow even missed the glances the wolves used to give her life. She was some foreign creature.
