„Would the two of you care to explain to me what happened?" Professor Dumbledore asked, calmly. Malfoy and I both started bubbling out our versions of the story at the same time, which didn't seem to bother Professor Dumbledore at all. When we were both done, he said „Very well. It seems like the two of you don't seem to be getting along very well..."
No shit, Sherlock.
„Which might be a result of you not knowing much about each other."
No! It's because he's a fucking arrogant prick!!
„So, what do we do with the two of you?"
I don't know, lock him up? Never let him out again?
„Surely, you must both be punished. You know that yourselves."
Here it comes, get ready to expelled Y/n...
„But we also don't want you to continue to... lash out... so, Professor McGonagall, Professor Snape and I have decided, that it would be for the best if the two of you got to know each other better. To achieve this, the two of you will spend all your time together, for a full month, if necessary this will be extended to 1,5 months."
Wait, WHAT?!
„Mister Malfoy, you will be joining Miss Everton in her Gryffindor classes. Furthermore, the two of you will be sharing the spare room in the Astronomy Tower. It might not be what you're used to, but it is the only spare room available. You are to spend every minute of your time together. And you will not, under any circumstances, raise your wands or fists at each other again, or I'm afraid I will be left with no choice but to expell both of you! Is that understood?" „But Professor! You cannot be serious, she insul-" „IS THAT UNDERSTOOD?" Professor Dumbledore asked louder. Malfoy lowered his head, and murmured „Yes". „Yes, Professor." I whispered. „Very well then. Professor Snape will be showing you to your new room. The elves will bring all your necessary belongings to your new home. I advise you to consider that sometimes there is more to a certain... behavior than we might see at first glance." Sure. The real reason behind Malfoy's behavior is that he's lead a tragic life. Seriously, how could he do that to us? I was beyond angry, but I knew complaining wouldn't help. Maybe I couldn't quite comprehend yet that I'd be having to share a room with my worst enemy, but maybe that was just my brain protecting myself from going insane in front of the headmaster.
„Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to get back to my duties as Judge of the Triwizard Tournament and talk to a few people to sort out the.. well, mayhem the Goblet of Fire caused today. I sincerely hope that the two of you will eventually have fun getting to know each other. Severus, could you be so kind to point them in the direction of where they need to go?" „Gladly" Professor Snap answered, slurring slightly as usual.
On our way to the room Malfoy and I would be having to share, none of us spoke a word. Snape rushed ahead, his robes flowing elegantly around the halls, but eventually he came to a stop. „The two of you would be well advised to obey Professor Dumbledore's words, unless you want your punishment to be extended. Now, your password is 'Amicita omnia vincit.' You will have to go the rest of your way by yourselves because I have somewhere else to be." „And what would that be?" Malfoy asked with an annoyed voice. „A private matter, you unbelievably noisy boy. 10 points from Slytherin! Now. You will go right and then find a portrait of Godric Gryffindor and Salazar Slytherin. The door to the left of it is the door to your temporary home. Now go!" Professor Snape ordered, so we did as we were told.
When we turned around the corner, Malfoy unfortunately felt the need to open his mouth. „Old hags, both of them!" he started complaining and kept on rambling on and on about how he felt like this was unfair treatment, while I was already opening the door to our room. „They can't just put us in a room together and expect us not to kill each other!" Malfoy was still complaining, while I looked at the room in utter shock. „Malfoy" I said, but he still kept on rambling. „How dare they force me to live with a fil-" „Malfoy!" I shouted, interrupting his rant. „What?!" he asked testily, but quickly noticed why I was so shocked. „For fucks sake, this has to be some bloody joke!" he exclaimed, while I still stared at it. The one bed in our room. Then it dawned to me. „I will go back to that old hag's office and demand he gives us another room if he already has to force us to live together! He cannot be serious!" Malfoy said angrily. „We can't." I said monotonously, still staring at the bed. „What do you fucking mean, we can't?!" Malfoy asked. „Don't tell me you wa-" „Dumbledore said it's the only empty room left im the castle, remember?" I asked. I was starting to feel slight panic rising in me. „Fuck" Malfoy said in a slightly lower voice as he seemed to remember the little speech Dumbledore had given us in his office.
After looking around the room, Malfoy had seemingly made a decision about how things would work here, at least if he would be in charge. „Well, I will not be sleeping on the floor or that stupid couch over there and I most definitely am not going to share my bed with you!" Malfoy rambled. „Oh yeah? And why would I give a crap about what you want?" I asked, raising my left eyebrow. „Because I'm Draco Malfoy and you're nothing but a filthy mudblood! Do you even know who my father is?!" Malfoy roared.
