"Shit!" Kyoko cursed after noticing 30+ missed calls and texts from Seto.

"Seto will unalive me." He whined at the thought of lecture he would have to listen, however, he had already called him. Waiting for latter to pick up.

"Hello? Kyoko?!" Concerned, the other side tried to confirm.

"Seto." Kyoko mumbled in a low voice.

"Kyoko? So you are alive?!"

Seto started to ramble.

"You know how scared I was for you when Arnold came to our door looking all murderous? I thought something had happened to you but all he said was not to look for you for a few days. After that neither one would pick up your phone and I couldn't even report a missing person because of thag stupid mate of yours." Seto breathes out the entire event in swoop.

"Sorry to worry you. I am alright." Kyoko finally breathes out the breath he was holding the whole time. But, his voice only raised Seto's anxiety even more.

"What happened to your voice?! Why is it so weak? Are you alright? Are you hurt? Kyoko?" Seto flooded Kyoko with questions, and with each second rose his anxiety.

"Seto, no. I am alright." Kyoko awkwardly replied.

"Baby? You know I am here for you right?" Seto attempted to reassure him calmly.

"Seto, really I am fine. Don't worry. It's just that- I spent my heat with Arnold." Kyoko's cheeks turned red as he recalled those memories.

"Kyoko, how long have I been raising you? Do you think I don't know the duration of your heat?"

"My rut was triggered too." A rasp voice spoke from right behind Kyoko's ear, tingling it.

Seto was affected by it too, he didn't want to know the intimate love life of his younger brother.

"Ack! You horny lovebirds. Seems like I was worried for nothing." Seto flustered.

"Kyoko, you will hear from me when you come home." He warned before hanging up the phone.

"I feel like eating after being starved for so long." Kyoko patted his stomach.
Arnold kissed his cheeks and took the plates from the table.

"I will do the dishes." Kyoko tried to stand but a pair of hands had lightly gripped his shoulder and stopped him from doing so.

"You need rest, darling."

"But-

"No buts," Arnold ordered.

Kyoko tried to win him over by giving him his pitiful look but it was in vain.

After doing the dishes and cleaning the kitchen, Arnold and Kyoko went to the living room. They stayed in silence, nonetheless, it wasn't awkward or suffocating, rather it was pleasant as they were enjoying each other's presence.

"Darling, I have something to tell you."

Arnold caught Kyoko's attention, and Kyoko scooted a little closer to him. "Go on." He curiously stared at him.

Arnold sighed and cuddled him up. "Earlier, Daemon had called me."

"Who is he?" Kyoko looks up at him, he is now very investigated in what Arnold was trying to say to him because this was the first time he had seen Arnold being fidgety.

"He is my older brother, said he wanted to meet you."

"Isn't that a good thing?"

".... I don't know. Why did he suddenly want to have a family gathering when we are not even close." Arnold hugs Kyoko even tighter, while the latter runs his finger through Arnold's hair.

"Maybe he wants to see me? To evaluate if I am fit for you or not? After All, he is your brother." Kyoko tries to uplift Arnold's mood and he might've succeeded a little bit since his words are followed by Arnold's chuckle.

"I don't want to argue with him, so I hope you are right."

Kyoko giggles back. "Of course, I am."
