Tessa opened her eyes and stretched languidly on the bed.
She took a quick look at her watch. It was 8AM on a Thursday. She searched her mind to try to recall today’s schedule. She vaguely recalled that she had a meeting at one pm today with her brothers and a non-profit organization about this year’s charity basketball event.
Her family had been sponsoring this event for as long as she could remember. This year would have been the fifteenth year however due to the pandemic the last two years had involved E-Sports gaming.
With most of the world population vaccinated, they were looking forward to bringing back the physical games.
Tessa sat up on her bed and reached for her phone. Scrolling through her messages, she saw that she had several from Soonyoung.
Hoshi: I lost you.
Hoshi: How are you getting home?
Hoshi: I wish I could call you but I’m with the other members.
Hoshi: I didn’t see Hwan-hyung or Hyun-hyung’s car at their parking spot. Hope that means you either drove yourself home or that they already picked you up.
Hoshi: You’re ignoring me....
Hoshi: Have good dreams tonight! You made so many people happy. The trainees were reinvigorated.
Tessa smiled. This cute little tiger was chatting her up.
She recalled one of Soonyoung’s jobs where he was in a GC with Noonas and they had to spot the maknae. He lost that challenge almost immediately. She imagined that that was how he would look while texting her.
Except he was trying so hard not to laugh in the video that aired. His recent texts to her sounded slightly worried.
She thought of another video she had recently watched involving him and a few other members. They were being interviewed by IU. During that interview, a bee had landed on her skirt and he swatted it away.
He was careful not to touch her, pulling up the sleeve of his shirt to hide his hand. She recalled how gentlemanly that was, considering he only had a split second to make that decision.
She had loved a fan’s rendition of that interaction, depicting Soonyoung as a human-tiger hybrid.
