Wonwoo sat up in bed. He was with Vernon in the guest room of the Han mansion awaiting Junhui’s return. The Chinese idol had gone to the dorm to pick up some personal items and would be returning soon.
“I could stay here forever.” Wonwoo breathed. “It’s just so peaceful.”
Vernon chuckled. “You and me both, hyung.”
“I’m actually thinking about investing in a residence soon.”
“Oh nice, hyung! Have you decided which area you prefer?”
“Maybe both in Itaewon and Gangnam. The purchase price is slightly higher than anywhere else but it could pay off if the market value continues to increase.”
“Properties are always a good investment, hyung.” Vernon smiled. “I personally have been thinking about it as well. I’ve talked to Kwannie about helping me look at properties in Jeju. And my mom and I have been talking about getting rental properties in the US. I'm undecided about choosing the commercial route though."
“Both away from all the noise, nice.” Wonwoo approved. "Yeah, do your research so you're sure. Commercial rental spaces have more return potential i would think."
“I wouldn’t mind having a village of all our members and our future families.”
“That’d be awesome.” Wonwoo agreed. “But let’s divide it into the quiet zone and the not so quiet zone.”
“I think, this, right here is the quiet zone.”
“Speaking of quiet, do you know where Hoshi-hyung went?”
“Because its suddenly so quiet?” Vernon laughed. “He went to shoot some hoops with Jay.”
“You mean he’s not with Tessa?”
“Tessa’s with Sunoo and Ni-ki.”
“Hmmm… Let’s go see what Tessa’s doing with the kids.” Wonwoo stood up and walked towards the door. Vernon followed suit.
After walking around the mansion and visiting several floors, they found the three in the game room playing Scrabble. The board was on the carpeted floor and all three were sitting cross legged in front of the board.
“Hey, guys! Mind if we chill here with you?” Vernon asked.
Tessa looked in their direction. “Hey Nonie-oppa. No worries, come on in. You guys want to join? We still have room for one more.”
“That depends. Are we using Korean or English words?” The younger rapper asked.
Ni-ki chuckled. “I wish we could use Japanese words. There wouldn’t be too much competition in this room then.”
Wonwoo adjusted his glasses. “Are you sure about that, Ni-ki?”
Ni-ki looked worried. “Oh, did I say something wrong? I thought only Jay-hyung and Hoshi-hyung could speak Japanese here.”
“Anata wa machigatte iru.” Tessa smiled warmly. (You may be wrong.)
“Gomennasai, onesan. Shira naka ta.” (Sorry, sis. I did not know.) The youngest in the room apologized.
“Sono daijobu.” (It’s okay.)
Vernon held in a laugh. “Oh dear, here we go again with my migraines whenever Tessa is around.”
Tessa threw Vernon some dagger looks. “Sunoo, teach me how to be sassy please. It would really help me a lot around these people.”
Sunoo looked up from his spot on the floor. He was busy thinking up his next move and was not paying attention to anything else. He had the cutest expression of bewilderment on his face. “Hmmm? What did I miss?”
