Tessa stood up to answer the door. “Welcome to my humble abode.”
“Good to finally cross the threshold.” Soonyoung teased.
Tessa grabbed her pillow as she sat comfortably on her king-sized bed while Soonyoung went to sit on the gray couch to her right.
The pair were in her Double Deluxe Room at Lotte Hotel World Seoul.
It was spacious and cozy with the typical amenities of a hotel of its caliber and star rating. The bed was all sorts of comfy with sufficient pillows. The wall-hung TV was in front of the bed and was tuned to MTV.
They had checked into the hotel after the Palace tours to Changdeokgung and Gyeongdokgung plus a stop at the Jongmyo Shrine. The ten of them then visited Lotte World where the trainees were free to roam and have fun.
Tessa and Soonyoung separated from the teenagers after dinner and opted to go swimming instead in the hotel pool. They were now freshly showered and in their sleepwear.
“Who are you rooming in with?” Tessa asked.
“The twin towers.” Soonyoung replied as he stood up to get their snacks from the mini refrigerator. “Ready for your milk tea, boss?”
“Am I ever?” Tessa said dramatically as she punched the straw into the Taro milk tea. She took one long sip and sighed. “That hits the spot.”
“How about a cookie to go with that?” Soonyoung raised one cookie in each hand: one was a choco chip, the other was a double choco cookie.
Tessa pointed to the choco chip as she sat beside Soonyoung on the couch. “Do you think the kids had fun today?”
The idol chewed on the double choco cookie. “I think so, yes. I mean, I certainly enjoyed myself.”
“The way they couldn't stop talking at dinner about the secret garden tour was great. At the very least, it made me feel like this whole shindig was worth it.”
“It is an amazing garden, too.”
“I’m assuming you’ve visited it before?”
Soonyoung nodded, “I have. With my Noona.”
“Awww, are you two close?”
“I’d like to think so. She’s a really wonderful person. She would totally get along with you, I’m sure of it.”
“Perhaps.” Tessa smiled shyly. “Come to think of it, that would be fair since you get along with MY brothers so well.”
“We do. I feel quite lucky to count them as my friends.”
“Your teamwork during the charity basketball was excellent. Everyone could tell that you three get along.” Tessa commented.
“As opposed to my other team members?” Soonyoung laughed.
Tessa tried to word her next statement a little more carefully. “Hmmm.. It’s more like the three of you seem to have some kind of tacit understanding. Like the three of you share a look and you guys already know what the others are thinking.”
“We've been playing ball for so long. I play basketball with the twin hyungs more than I do my SEVENTEEN members.”
“Your friendship is so cute.” Tessa teased him, mirroring how some fans would react.
Soonyoung pinched her cheeks. “You’re cute.”
Tessa turned beet red. She cleared her throat.
“Thank you for today. Couldn’t have done this without you.” She looked at him and smiled sincerely.
