It was always the same, the same dream that kept her awake at night, afraid to sleep, afraid to rest. A clock's loud noise ringing in her ears as she was sat beside the toilet. Her mother behind her, encouraging her to purge.

"You don't want to be fat do you? Then why did you eat Chrissy?" She didn't want to, but she was afraid to upset her mother so she listened. She purged, but it wasn't enough. Her skin began to bloat and swell, the thing her mother warned her about was happening.. she couldn't breath..

And that's where she woke up, breathing heavily, sweating lightly. "Chris, you okay?" Jason said, sitting beside her in the driver's seat. He didn't know she dozed off, he never really paid attention enough to notice alot of things.

"Yeah, I'm okay, are we almost to school?" Chrissy said unconvincingly. She knew better than to rant to Jason when he had a basketball game that night. He always told her he had to focus on being ready, getting his head into the game. So, she kept her problems to herself.

"Yep, nearly there." Jason said back.

When Jason pulled into his parking spot, they stepped out together and walked hand in hand towards their friends. Mainly other cheerleaders and jocks. Jason let go of her hand and ran over and began to werestle with one of his teammates while chrissy half heartedly listened to her friends talk about the latest drama. She was still shaken up about her dreams. They were getting more frequent and intense.

The bell rang which meant it was time to go inside and time to go to the worst part of her day, seeing the school guidance counselor. She had been caught purging by a teacher so now it was a mandatory thing. Once a week she would meet with Ms. Kelly instead of going to class.

"By Chris, I love you" jason said grinning and looking down at her before kissing her. She returned the kiss.

"I love you too" she said as they pulled apart.

Chrissy sat down in the chair in front of the guidance counselor's desk. "Welcome back Chrissy, how have you been since we spoke last?" Ms. Kelly asked with a pleasant tone.

"I've been okay." Chrissy mumbled. Looking down at the ground.

"Now Chrissy, I can't help you unless you're honest with me. Now, truly, how are you doing?"

She didn't know what to say, how to articulate how she felt. But she tried her best. "I feel, tired Ms. Kelly. I haven't really been sleeping well because of my dreams. They're so...vivid" she said, her breath quicking. She felt like a burden when she spoke about herself.

Ms. Kelly scribbled some notes on her papers while nodding. "Well, you're recovering from something serious Chrissy, nightmares can happen because of that. Give it time and they'll fade away, I promise. Now, have you been eating properly?" She asked in a sincere tone.

"Yes, 3 meals a day" she lied.

"Good, recovering from an eating disorder isn't easy, but I believe in you. My door is open anytime." As she finished her sentence the bell rang, implying it was time for second period.

"Okay hun, I'll see you next week, same time, alright?"

"Mhm, see you then" Chrissy chimed before grabbing her bookbag and walking out.

The rest of the school day was rather uneventful. Classes weren't hard even if she did have trouble focusing due to being as tired as she was. It wasn't until the last class when things became interesting.

Chrissy was worried about going home and being unable to sleep again. The fear of that nightmare was causing her anxiety. And as she looked up, a potential solution walked into the room. His name? Eddie Munson.

She'd heard from friends that smoking can help you sleep deeper, which may mean no nightmares. She didn't want to, but was becoming desperate for relief. But.. how could she buy drugs from him? He was terrifying. She watched him now, being so..wild with his friends. Grabbing them, getting loud, making angry faces. He was known for being a satatinist, a freak. But what else could chrissy do?

She took out a note and wrote on it "looking to buy, after school". She then folded it up, and stood up to sharpen her pencil. She walked past Eddie's desk and dropped the paper on it, hoping no one saw. She heard him unwrap it while sharpening her pencil. And on her way back, she saw it sitting at the edge of the table. She She grabbed it and sat back down. When she unfolded it, she read the instructions, where to meet in the woods.

"I can't believe I'm actually doing this.." she thought to herself.
