Saturday morningChrissy's eyes opened and the first thing she saw was the sun peaking through the curtains. The small specs of dust floating around. She looked around for Eddie, but despite them falling asleep together, cuddled in each others arms, she didnt see him now. She sat up in the bed, she still had his shirt on from the night before, and that's where her mind went. She smiled to herself, it had been everything she'd hoped it would be. She didn't plan on that happening but she didn't regret it. What wasn't as amazing was how sore she was down below, which she hadn't expected. It wasn't intense pain, just a little achy.
She got up to look for Eddie, she slid back on Nancy's shorts that she hadn't bothered to put back on before they slept and walked out of the bedroom. The smell of bacon, pancakes and other breakfast foods immediately filled her nose, as well as the sounds of voices coming from the kitchen. Chrissy emerged from the hall to see Eddie cooking breakfast for everyone, Argyle and Nancy sat at the table in the kitchen. Eddie had his hair back up in a messy pony tail, he had a dish towel on his shoulder and his black shirt had hints of flower on it.
"Waffles are the superior breakfast item man, no contest" Argyle said to Nancy, she shook her head. "Not even close, pancakes are better. You're crazy" Argyle shook his head back. He noticed Chrissy walk in and turned his head her way. "What about you dude, waffles or pancakes." Chrissy shrugged "Waffles for me, sorry Nance" Argyle seemed pleased and Nancy shook her head, but she was smiling. When Eddie heard her voice he turned from the stove and grinned. She looked absolutely stunning standing there in his shirt, with bed head and tired eyes.
"Morning princess, breakfast is almost ready. I know you don't eat it but you didn't eat any pizza last night so you gotta get you some" Eddie flipped a pancake out of the pan onto a plate, before starting another one and flipping sizzling bacon in a skillet behind the pancakes. Chrissy hadn't eaten properly in days, the smell of the food was enough to make her mouth water. She didn't want to eat it, she wanted to resist the temptation, but she knew Eddie wouldn't drop it.
Nancy and Argyle left the room to go and get Robin and Jonathan so they could eat. Chrissy walked up beside Eddie and kissed his cheek. He looked down at her and gave her a toothy smile. He saw the marks he left on her neck. "So, last night. We gonna talk about it?" Eddie said, half focusing on cooking now. She grabbed his forearm softly, fidgeting with the hairs. "I don't know what to say.. I just.. I had fun.. I don't want it to be a one time thing. I really like you Eddie." She spoke softly. She was scared that she had over stepped something. She'd only had one boyfriend so this was all new to her.
Eddie chuckled. "I like you too princess, I like you alot. But what about Jason?" Chrissy shook her head. She hated even thinking about him. "We're done. He's..-" she almost said what he did to her, what he'd done to her before. But she decided not to, she kept it in as she'd done for years. "I haven't broken up with him yet but I'm going to the next time I see him. I just know you make me feel safe, and I love that" Chrissy laid her head on his shoulder, in return Eddie kissed the top of her head. She giggled.
Robin and nancy walked into the room and saw the two of them standing in front of the stove. When Chrissy heard them she pulled her head off Eddie but didn't leave his side. Robin looked horrible. "Next time you guys let me drink that much I'll kill you" Nancy shook her head "I tried to cut you off but you insisted 'just one more beer babe I swear!'" Nancy made her and Robin a plate. Eddie made himself one and he made sure Chrissy at least ate a few things. Argyle and Jonathan came out shortly after to join them.
They all ate at the kitchen table. Chrissy managed to get 2 pancakes and piece of bacon down. She didn't feel great about it but Eddie seemed proud of her, so she didn't mind so much. After breakfast they cleaned up together, making the beds, changing sheets where necessary, not leaving any beer bottles around or anything of the sort. Eddie's friend didn't mind him using his place but he had to keep it picked up. Chrissy slid back on her jeans from the night before but decided to keep Eddie's shirt. She decided that she simply needed to keep it.
