"Well alright then." Eddie said. He grabbed a tray off his dresser he used to roll. "We're gonna have to smoke in here, my uncle doesn't not care that I smoke, so I like to do it in here. That cool? He works nights at the plant so he won't show up tonight, but he's a cool dude so I like to respect those boundaries." Eddie looked up at Chrissy from the bed, she was still standing in the door frame.

"Yeah, that's cool" she tried to sound confident but he was still mildly intimidating. Buying the drugs was one thing, but seeing him now about to prepare them and she was about to do them... it made her incredibly nervous. But depsite that she pushed through her fear and walked into his room and sat on the edge of his bed.

She took a moment to look around his room properly now. There were so many posters to bands she'd never heard of, along with records and tapes. The room was unorganized but not gross, just a little scattered, but that was what Eddie was like. But above all, she noticed the beautiful black guitar hanging on the wall.

"Woah, I don't remember that from middle school" Chrissy said, slight awe in her voice. Eddie just cocked an eyebrow and looked at it. "Yeah, that's my baby, my darling, the love of my life." Chrissy couldn't help but laugh at Eddie. She knew he wasn't joking which made it better.

"Well, she's beautiful Eddie." Chrissy meant it genuinely, she wasn't making fun of it. Sure, it was silly, but she liked that about him.

"Well, if you wanna see her it action, come out Tuesday man, the crowd ain't great, but I like to think we're pretty good" Eddie nodded to himself while still getting everything set up the tray. "You'd really be okay if I came out to see you guys play?" She'd assumed it wasn't a serious invite earlier.

"Sure why not, with the way you lighten up the room it'd be like playing for a whole different crowd" as soon as he said it he wanted to take it back.

"Quit flirting with her man, it ain't happening" he thought to himself. He quickly changed the conversation with hopes that she didn't realize what he said. She did, and it made her feel butterflies in her stomach.

"Well, lets get goin let's get you in the know." Eddie sat the tray between them and attempted to teach Chrissy everything he knew about rolling. How to grind it, fold, roll, lick, etc. He was extremely patient with her and she appreciated it.

After about an hour, she attempted to do one on her own. And when she was done, she presented a poorly wrapped, loosely filled joint. But for her first time, it really wasn't bad.

"Hey, great job princess, who knew you had it in ya." He nodded and gave her a little golf clap, showing his approval. She didn't really know why, but his praise made her blush super hard. Her cheeks turned rosey pink very quickly. Eddie noticed but didn't call her on it.

"Alright, smoke time. You rolled it, you start it, thems the rules." He grinned and handed her a lighter. "What do I do?" Chrissy asked as she took the lighter from him. "Just put the tip in your mouth, light the other end, and inhale. Real simple" Eddie explained calmly so she understood.

Chrissy did exactly as he said. She felt the heat from the smoke before anything else and then she inhaled alot more than Eddie expected her to, which caused her to begin coughing violently.

"Oh shit, let me grab you something to drink" Eddie hopped up and jogged into the kitchen, grabbing two bottles of water from his fridge. The sound of her coughing could still be heard. He ran back and opened one for her and she grabbed it and took a few sips. It helped calm the coughing down.

"Wow... I didnt expect that.." she said, clearing her throat. Eddie took the joint from her and took a similar sized hit and blew the smoke out cleanly. "Yeah, it takes getting used to that's for sure. But you did pretty solid for your first time. Wanna go again?" He offered her the joint again, and she took a deep breath before taking it, this time taking a much smaller hit.

She still coughed a few times, but overall it wasn't to bad. They passed that back and fourth a few times and by the end of it, Eddie could tell chrissy was stoned. She really was a lightweight because he barley felt a buzz. But hey, that's how it goes.

"You good over there princess?" He asked her, cracking a smile. It was all over from there. Chrissy busted out laughing. She couldn't contain it. Everything was hilarious to her. Her laughing made Eddie laugh too. And there they were. Laughing at the sound of each other laughing. This continued on for a good 30 minutes. Chrissy was having the time of her life the room felt brighter and warmer.

After her giggles died down, Eddie stood up, nearly sober. He walked over to his record player and threw on a led zeppelin record. He turned the volume down to just have some noise so they could just vibe for a bit until she was ready to sleep. She began to rock back and forth to the music with her eyes closed. Eddie just watched her and smiled.

"Don't fuckin do it man, she's outa your league. Don't fall for her" was all he could think. But how could he stop himself? She was...her, and that's all he needed her to be.

Chrissy was in her own world at the moment. With her eyes closed she just sat and rocked herself. She felt at peace. Part of it was the drugs sure, but she couldn't deny part of it was Eddie. She wouldn't feel this way with Jason. She couldn't let go around him like this..

After the song ended she opened her eyes and caught Eddie staring at her. Her already warm face went even warmer as Eddie looked away and pretended he wasn't staring.

"Hey eddieee, can I ask you a question?" She said to him in a sing songy voice. "Of course, ask away, im an open book" he smiled, curious about what she was going to say.

"You said I lighten up a room, what did you mean by that?" She furrowed her brows in an attempt to act serious, but she failed at looming anything other than silly.

Eddie was hesitant to answer, but decided to anyway. "I mean you're just so... you. Your laugh, your smile, you just have a way of making people wanna be near you I guess." Chrissy couldn't contain herself anymore. Hearing him talk about her like that, she didn't know what to think anymore.

The only thing she knew, was that she wanted to kiss him.

"Eddie come here" she said quietly. Eddie walked over and crouched beside her. "You okay?" He said gently, and genuinely.

"Yeah.." she leaned into him and tried to kiss him. But he caught her right before she could. "Alright Chrissy, I think it's time for bed. You can sleep in here, I'll ride the couch tonight" he held her gently by the arms and laid her down on his bed. Her eyelids were already fluttering as she nearly fell asleep. "I have to be at Sam's by 9.." she said as he laid her down. "I gotcha princess." he covered her with his blanket and stepped out of the room after turning the light off. She was asleep before he was out the door.

As he walked to the living room he shook his head. "Fuck man.. fuck.." he wanted to kiss her too. But it would've have been right. She had a boyfriend. And more importantly she wasn't sober. No way he would do that to her.

Eddie kicked off his shoes and laid on the couch. He grabbed the clock off the endtable and set the alarm to 8 am before he closed his eyes and drifted off to sleep.
