It was a normal day for Yasmin. She was just spending time with her boyfriend and her friends. They were watching a show on Nestflix at her house.

There was a knock at the door and everyone's heads turned towards the sound.

"I got it." Yasmin said as she stood up and walked up to her front door. When she opened it, she saw Debbie who looked overly excited. So much so, she was jumping in place.

"Yasmin! Yasmin! It's mom!" Debbie shouted with a smile.

"Mom?! What's wrong with mom!?" Yasmin worriedly yelled.

Everyone in Yasmin's house ran up to the door. Overhearing the two bird's conversation.

Debbie grabbed Yasmin's wing and started to pull on her, "The egg! It's here! Let's go!"

Yasmin smiled widely, she looked behind her at her friends, "Come on, guys!"

The birds took the slingshot, since that was the fastest way of transportation.

Debbie and Yasmin barged into the eagle's couple house.

Yasmin began to shout loudly, "Egg! Where's the--!"

"Shh!" Ethan shushed, he looked amused rather than angry though.

"Sorry. Heh." Yasmin sheepishly smiled. She immediately saw the nest in the living room. She walked closer to it, not leaving her eyes off of it.

Red, Chuck, Silver, Bomb, and Debbie also walked up to the nest, following behind Yasmin.

The egg wasn't huge, but it was a little bigger than the typical bird egg, which made sense, considering it was an eagle's egg.

"Wow." Yasmin barely whispered. She seen many eggs over her life time, but never really seen an eagle's egg up close before.

"Would you like to hold the egg?" Zeta asked Yasmin as she carefully picked up her egg and tried handing it over to her daughter.

Yasmin's eyes went wide as she stuttered, "Ah, uh, o-okay..." She felt a little nervous, she never held an egg before, every bird knows eggs must be handled with extreme care.

Zeta slipped the egg into Yasmin's wings. Yasmin gently took the egg and held it. It was very surreal to her. Yasmin stiffly turned towards Debbie as she looked at her, looking a bit nervous as she smiled, "Do you wanna hold the egg?"

"Yes!" Debbie exclaimed excitedly.

Yasmin carefully handed the egg to Debbie as she eagerly took it off of Yasmin's wings.

"Oh my gosh. I can't believe I'm a big sister." Debbie whispered as she snuggles against the egg.

Zeta and Ethan looked at each other with loving smiles as they watched their daughters being in love with the egg.

It's been over a month and it was about the time when the egg was going to hatch.

It was game night. It was something that Yasmin and Ethan thought up so they could have more quality time with everyone. Everyone had a great time when Zeta held the little party and everyone wanted to do it again.

As they were playing a round of Cards Against Birds. Yasmin heard a little sound of something crunching over the sound of laughter.

Yasmin furrowed her eyebrows and shook her head, ignoring the sound. She placed her attention back to the game, but that sound came back again.

Yasmin turned around and noticed the egg shaking ever so slightly and noticed a light crack. Her eyes went wide and let out an audible gasp.

Everyone stopped talking and looked over at Yasmin.

"What's wrong kiddo?" Ethan asked Yasmin.

Yasmin slightly turned her head, not leaving her eyes off the egg, "I think the egg is hatching."

"The doc said the egg was supposed to be hatching tomorrow." Zeta spoke, feeling confused.

The egg made a louder crack sound. Confiming Yasmin's comment. Everyone looked at each other with excitement and dropped everything and walked over to the nest.

All the birds were hovering over the egg as it began to shake a bit more roughly and the egg's shell began to crack even more and more.

"It's hatching!" Debbie whispered quietly.

All the birds watched the egg eagerly and little by little the egg shell cracked further. There was one final jolt and the egg finally broke, revealing a small eaglet.

Zeta and Ethan had some tears in their eyes, everyone stepped to the side to let the eagle couple look at their newly born hatchling.

"Oh, my baby." Zeta cooed as she carefully picked the hatchling up as it babbled incoherently with a smile.

Ethan placed a wing around Zeta as they both looked at their newly born hatchling lovingly.

Yasmin, Debbie, Red, Chuck, Bomb, and Silver looked at the newly born hatchling in awe.

Yasmin walked up to her parents, along with Debbie.

The hatchling stared at Yasmin with big eyes. She couldn't help but start to coddle with the baby as she wiggles her feather finger in front of the hatchling.

Yasmin then remembered something important, she had to tell her parents. She looked up at them with a smile while Debbie started to play with the hatchling, "Mom, Dad." Yasmin said, looking at the respective eagles, "You guys told us that you wanted us to pick out a name and I think we finally came to a conclusion. A name that we all agreed upon." Yasmin turned towards her friends, boyfriend, and Debbie as they smiled at her with a nod, she then looked back at her parents, "We decided Marlo."

"Marlo...I like that!" Ethan nodded with a grin, "What do you think, honey?"

Zeta smiled at her newly born hatchling as the hatchling let out a tired yawn, "Marlo...I love it. Welcome to the family, Marlo."
