Wei Ying had been here before, a long time ago. That was why he knew exactly where Hui Gai had hidden away his precious treasures.

A squeal of delight and a shout of "WingAndLaZhan!" And they were engulfed in tight hugs.

Wei Ying kissed their little faces, ever so happy and delighted to meet his children again, even Klem and Jez were not spared from the onslaught of his love.

"My beautiful sweethearts, did you miss us?? We missed you all so terribly!" He exclaimed, overwhelmed by what he was feeling.

Lan Zhan let him deal with it as best as he could and hugged the children, welcoming them into his arms in his own quiet way.

When they finally settled down, and sat on the floor, Wei Ying greeted Oge enthusiastically.

"How are you, my dear? I bet it's not been easy...?"

Tears sprang into her eyes.

Wei Ying had to nudge Lan Zhan quite hard to get him to release one of his precious hankies...not for anyone but Wei Ying. He only surrendered one though, and thought about when he could replace it, because he didn't want that one back now.

She bravely wiped them away.

"We are fine...everything is fine..." She whispered.

It was not the truth, and everyone could see that.

"Fathers! What happened to you? Can you tell us?" Li XiWang asked curiously.

Now the initial excitement had passed, everyone was much calmer and able to think clearly.

Wei Ying smiled softly and apologetically to Oge before lifting his little Rabbit into his lap. He kissed her forehead warmly and smiled kindly at her.

"We're both dragons now!" He said, not holding back.

"Really?" Her burgundy eyes were big and wide with awe. "Can you fly? What do you look like? What colours are you? How fast?" Her words tripped over themselves in her rush to get them out.

"I could tell you..." Wei Ying said with a cheeky grin..."But I've always believed that showing is way better than telling!"

Li XiWang jumped up, squealing with excitement again.

"Let's go, let's go, let's go!" She chanted.

Rumi grabbed hers and Klem's hand and they did a little dance around Baby Jez.

Wei Ying laughed, the sound musically beautiful. Lan Zhan stared at him fondly, hardly daring to believe that the months of agonising over his ailment were over.

Wei Ying was fit and healthy and Lan Zhan made a note to scour the library for any and all information he could find on what their new changes meant for them. He remembered reading that Dragons were not only Celestial Immortal beings, but that their natural fire which resided in their throats defied any illness, protecting them from bodily viruses.

Fire....

That was another possibility to be explored.

Could they breathe fire?

He cleared his throat, trying to feel if there was anything different there...but there was not, much to his disappointment.

Wei Ying glanced at him with interest.

"Are we okay, my love?" He questioned, his smile faltering.

"Mn." Lan Zhan hurried to reassure him.

There would be plenty of time to explore more later; right now, Wei Ying wanted to show the children their newest forms and it was time to leave this place.

"We can show our brothers too." He added, smiling at the look of utter delight on Wei Ying’s expressive face.

"I can just imagine ChengCheng's face!" He giggled. "Come on everyone, let's face the music and dance!"

They teleported out of the necklace.

Within seconds they were back outside, in the courtyard outside the Hanshi. Luckily, everyone was still there, and their faces lit up with joy.

Both Li XiWang and Rumi went to hold SiZhui's hands to watch.

"Actually my love," Wei Ying whispered softly, under his breath, "how did we do it, that one time?"

Jiang Cheng cleared his throat pointedly and then yawned obnoxiously when Wei Ying looked over at him.

Wei Ying stuck his tongue out at his brother as Lan Zhan spoke.

"It is merely thinking about changing, and it happens."

Wei Ying raised a brow quizzically and Lan Zhan wondered if he was just messing around, when he knew already the way to turn into their dragon forms.

"Together." He smiled at his beloved.

There was a flash of movement and suddenly two magnificent dragons shot up into the sky. Long and beautiful, their lithe bodies were the embodiment of their human forms. One white like the first snows of Gusu, with pale blue scales and his underbelly shiny like blue frost.

The second dragon was darker than the night, as black as the velvet sky, his beautiful silver eyes like the stars that adorned the midnight scene. His neck scales shone like freshly shed blood, vivid and scarlet matching his underside.

Together they burst into the air like twin fiery flames, twisting their bodies and curling around each other. This dance was one of instinct, born from their very nature. They whirled and flashed, dancing to the music of their souls.

From down below there were gasps and shouts, a breaking of the rules for sure, but on this instance, no one cared enough to punish anyone. The crowds watched with open mouths, excitement and joy all over their faces.

And then someone cried out, "It is the Light Bearer of the North, and his Dark Angel come to earth."

And then all of them cheered, their hearts and minds were glad and filled with hope, because their heroes had come back home.

Li XiWang smiled at her brothers, her shining face full of happy thoughts at last. Her feelings were mirrored in their faces as all of them cheered.

XiChen too was so pleased to see the return of his younger brothers, and now they were together at last. He glanced over to his husband; Jiang Cheng wore a look of abject wonderment, his expression full of awe.

XiChen wrapped an arm around his waist and pulled him closer. His lips found the side of his head, and lingered, feeling him relax.

The days could only get better from now on.
